Text: On 5/15/098, at 1130 hours, Joshua Key, age 21 of Juneau, was
arrested on two outstanding arrest warrants for failing to comply with
his conditions of probation on the original charge of Sexual Abuse of a
Minor in the Third Degree and for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender
in the First Degree. Key was placed under arrest after a short foot
chase and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center on no bail.

Text: On 5/15/09 at 1450 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Pamela
Dickenson, age 40 of Saxman at her residence. A check in APSIN showed
Dickenson had an outstanding arrest warrant for theft. Dickenson was
arrested and transported to Ketchikan Corrections Center where she was
remanded without incident. The bail has been set at $1500.00.

Text: On 05/14/2009, at approximately 1315 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a report of Criminal Trespass. Investigation revealed that
Westley E. Gagnon, age 20 of Wasilla, was trespassing on Three Bears
property. Further investigation revealed that Jeremy D. Similie, age 22
of Wasilla, who was with Gagnon was attempting to return stolen
merchandise at Three Bears in Palmer. Gagnon was remanded to the Mat-Su
Pretrial Facility, bail was OR with conditions set per the bail
schedule. Similie was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility on a
$250.00 cash only bail.

Type: DWLR / Failure to Give Immediate Notice of an Accident / MVC-D
Text: On 05/14/09, at approximately 1854 hours, AST responded to Wasilla
Fishhook Road near Pamela Drive for a report of a single vehicle
collision. An investigation revealed William S. Shirley II, age 46 of
Wasilla, was driving northbound on Wasilla Fishhook Road in a 1985
Subaru stationwagon when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a
tree near Pamela Drive. After the collision, Shirley left the scene and
did not report the collision. Shirley was later contacted and arrested
for DWLR and Failure to Give Immediate Notice of an Accident. Shirley
reported wearing his seatbelt and no injuries were sustained. Shirley
was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and remanded into their
custody. Bail was set at $750.00. Shirley was additionally cited for
Failure to Show Proof of Insurance and Expired Registration.

Text: On 05-14-2009 at approximately 1723 hours, Alaska State Troopers
contacted Charles P. Sprague, age 25 of Wasilla, during a traffic stop
at Lucille St. and Lochcarron Dr, near Wasilla. Sprague was operating a
1999 GMC pick-up truck when he was stopped for expired registration.
Investigation revealed that Sprague was operating the vehicle with a
revoked license. Sprague was subsequently placed under arrest for
Driving While License Revoked. Sprague was transported to Mat-Su
Pretrial Facility where he was remanded into custody. Bail was set at
$1000.

Text: On 05/14/09, at approximately 2310 hours, Alaska State Troopers
contacted John Caverly, age 24 of Palmer. Caverly was the driver of a
vehicle that was reported for suspicious activity at the G&G Food Mart
in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Caverly had a warrant for his
arrest, for failure to appear for arraignment on original charge of
Improper Use of Title and Plates. He was arrested on the warrant and
was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility on $250.00 bail.

Text: On 5-15-2009, at 0245 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a
traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation on the Palmer Wasilla
Highway near the Glenn Highway in Palmer. The passenger of the vehicle
was identified as Jeremy P. Janis, age 19, of Palmer. Investigation
revealed that Janis had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for
Failure to Appear on the original charge of Criminal Trespass. Janis
was arrested and remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on $250.00
Bail.

Text:On 5/15/09 at 0820 hours Aniak AST was contacted by a resident of
Aniak. The resident was reporting that her brother was intoxicated and
creating a disturbance at her home. Aniak AST responded to the home and
arrested Nikanoff Peterson, 25, for an outstanding warrant. Peterson
was held at the Aniak Post and transported to Bethel. Due to his
intoxication, Peterson was held over for arraignment on 5/16/09.

Text: On 5-15-09, at approximately 1130 hours, Alaska State Troopers in
McGrath received a report of a theft. Andrew Alexandrou, age 58 of
McGrath, reported approximately 30 gallons of gasoline was stolen from
his boat. The boat was parked at his residence on Joaquin St. in McGrath
when the theft took place. Anyone with information about this crime is
asked to call the Alaska State Troopers in McGrath at 524-3052.

Text: On 5/3/09, at 1845 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to
Alakanuk to investigate an alleged assault. Subsequent investigation
revealed that Martin James, 42 of Alakanuk had physically assaulted his
wife with a weapon. James had further assaulted one of his minor
children during the altercation. James was arrested and charged with
Assault III and Assault IV. James was transported to Bethel and
remanded to the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center. Alcohol was a
major factor.

Type: Overdue Snowmachine
Text: On 5-14-09 at approximately 2040 hours, Kotzebue Troopers received
a report that Aaron Tickett, 26, of Shungnak was stranded near Kotzebue
after his snowmachine got stuck on saturated tundra during a hunting
trip. Tickett was able to contact family members using his cell phone
and provided them his approximate location. A few hours later, Tickett
was found walking towards Kotzebue by family members. Tickett was
reported to be in good health and required no medical attention. No
state funds were expended during the search.

Text: On 5/10/09, at 1400 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Lester
C. Pitka, 27 of Russian Mission. Pitka was arrested on an outstanding
warrant for Assault IV and charged with an additional assault IV after
he had assaulted his girlfriend. Pitka was transported to Bethel and
remanded to the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center. Alcohol was major
factor. Bail was set at $2500.00 and a CATPC.

Text: On 5/4/09, at 0930 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report
from a woman in Russian Mission stating that she had been assaulted by
her husband, Goosma Nickoli. Nickoli was arrested and charged with
Assault IV. Nickoli was transported to Bethel on 5/5/09 and remanded to
the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center. Alcohol was a factor.

Text: On 05-14-09, at 1820 hours, Troopers responded to the residence of
Dwight K. Deely 50 YOA of Ester, AK to conduct a welfare check. Upon

investigation and notified his next of kin. The case is closed and
there is no suspected foul play.

Text: On 5/15/09 at approximately 0252 hrs, Zebadiah J. Carpenter, age
30 of Kenai, was stopped driving a 2004 BMW passenger car near Mile 11
of the Kenai Spur Rd, in Kenai for swerving and driving partially in the
turn lane. AST investigation revealed that Carpenter was text messaging
with his cell phone while driving resulting in his erratic driving.
Carpenter was issued a USC for driving while operating a digital screen
device.

Type: MVC-I, Leaving the scene of an injury accident.
Text: On 5-14-09 at 0349 hours, AST received a report of a roll over
accident on the Sterling Highway at Pine Street in Soldotna. AST
investigation disclosed a silver 1999 Ford Taurus driven by William
Honeysett, 23 YOA of Soldotna pulled out of the north entrance of Big
Johns Tesoro and collided with a 2004 Dodge pickup truck driven by
Stewart Blakeslee 25 YOA of Kasilof, causing the Dodge pickup to skid
sideways off the road and roll two times. Both the driver and passenger
of the Dodge pickup received minor injuries. Honeysett failed to stop at
the scene and attempted to hide the vehicle behind a nearby residence.
AST investigation resulted in Honeysett being arrested for two counts of
assault in the third degree, leaving the scene of an injury accident,
driving while intoxicated, and driving with a revoked drivers license.

Text: On 05-11-09 at approximately 1105 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers
stopped a blue Ford Explorer near the Parks Highway and Boundary Street
in Wasilla for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Tisha
Negus, age 31 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Negus was driving with
a revoked license and was issued a summons to appear in Palmer Court.
Negus was also issued citations for an Open Container and No Proof of
Insurance. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

Text: On 05-13-09, Roger and Barbara Vanornum, ages 65 and 68 of Eagle
River, were issued summonses to appear in Glennallen Court. Alaska
Wildlife Trooper investigation revealed R. Vanornum took two bulls
during a September 2008 hunt with one being sublegal. The moose here
taken in a unit with a one bull limit and restricted to a spike-fork,
50-inch, or four brow tine configuration. Arraignment is set for July
2nd in Glennallen Court.

with a bail amount set at $200.00.

Type: Use of bait where prohibited / Sport Fishing withot a vaild sport
fish license
Text: On 5/12/09 at approximately 1600 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers,
received a complaint of people fishing with bait on Long Lake of the
Kepler Bradley Lake system in Palmer. Long Lake is a catch and release
only lake with the use of a single hook and no bait is allowed. Alaska
Wildlife Trooper made contact with several young males fishing at the
lake. Two of the boys were juveniles and received verbal warnings for
fishing with bait and fishing without a valid fishing license. Robert
Fuller, 18 yoa, of Palmer received a $110 citation for use of fish eggs
(bait) where bait is prohibited. Fuller also received a $210 citation
for Fishing without a vaild 2009 sport fishing license. And was given a
verbal warning for retention of Rainbow trout.

Type: Take 3 Cow Moose Closed Season
Text: On 04-12-09 Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Palmer received a
Wildlife Safe Guard Tip of a possible moose poaching in the Dan's Creek
area. Investigation revealed that a cow moose had been shot, with only
half of the moose salvaged. Investigation revealed that Paul Blocher
age 62 of Anchorage had been living in a near by cabin. Blocher was
contacted on 4-26-09 reference the moose poaching. Blocher confessed in
shooting one of the three moose in the Dan's Creek area. Blocher wrote
and signed a confession letter that he had shot a cow moose around the
end of March. On 5-15-09 Blocher was contacted again reference to two
other moose in the Dan's Creek area. Blocher confessed in shooting the
other two moose in early February. During the interview Blocher admitted
in only salvaging a small portion of one moose and failed to salvage the
other moose. The case is being forwarded to the Palmer District
Attorney Office. Blocher is being charged with three counts of Taking
Cow Moose closed Season, three counts of Wanton Waste of Big Game, and
three counts of Unlawful Possession/Transportation of Moose.

Type: Death investigation
Text: On 5/15/09 at approximately 0334 hours State Troopers responded
to a 911 call reporting a body lying in the southbound lane of the Parks
Hwy. near the intersection with Vine Rd. outside Wasilla. On arrival,
at approximately 0336 hours Troopers found a deceased male, Scott L. Johnson, age 22, of Wasilla, laying face
down in the southbound lane. There were no vehicles in the immediate
vicinity. Members of the Bureau of Highway Patrol, South Central Team
and the Alaska Bureau of Investigation responded to the scene. The State Medical Examiner's office has taken
possession of the body for autopsy and next of kin have been notified.
This incident occurred within the Parks Hwy. Traffic Safety Corridor
that was so designated due to the number of fatal collisions that occur
on this portion of the Parks Hwy. This investigation continues. Anyone
with information about this incident is asked to immediately call the
Alaska State Troopers at 745-2131 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.
