UAF Bags A Recruit From USHL

The UAF Nanooks will have an incoming forward recruit from the U.S. Hockey League, according to Chris Heisenberg’s 2009 college hockey recruiting site.
The new guy headed here is Andy Taranto, who plays for the Fargo Force and is in his third season on that junior circuit. Taranto, a 6-foot, 210-pounder from Downers Grove, Ill. -- hometown of former UAA and Anchorage Aces winger Brian Kraft, for you trivia buffs (don't believe hockeydb.com's citing of Melrose Park as Kraftie's hometown; I got Downers Grove until he tells me otherwise -- owns 12-11--23 totals and a +14 rating in 37 games. He's third on his club in goals and points and tied for second in plus-minus.
