Aces: Holt Headed Back From Peoria

Comments (0) |

Looks like goaltender Jean-Philippe Lamoureux, who has played every second for the Alaska Aces this season, will get a break sometime this week in a three-game series at Victoria. That's because Chris Holt, who attended training camp with the ECHL Aces but has been up in the American Hockey League and NHL, is being shipped to the Aces from AHL Peoria.

Holt, who earned a one-year NHL-AHL deal with the St. Louis Blues during his promotion, was assigned to break up a three-goalie logjam in Peoria, where rookie Ben Bishop and former Aces tender Marek Schwarz remain.

In Peoria, Holt went 2-0-0 with a 2.00 goals-against average and .915 save percentage. (FYI, Bishop is 3-4-0 with a 2.69 and .894, and Schwarz is 4-3-0 with a 3.18 and .878).

Lamoureux leads the ECHL in wins (10), minutes played (790) and saves (405), and is tied for first in shutouts (2). He's 10-2-1 with a 2.20 and .933.
