Good Morning America has reported that Ted Haggard, the evangelical pastor who stepped down as leader of the 14,000-member New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colo., two years ago, says he was sexually abused as a child.
Haggard, who was disgraced after a former male prostitute said they had had sex, says the experience of the abuse while he was in the second grade bubbled up during the sex scandal.
Haggard has apparently mentioned the abuse in recent sermons at the church of an old friend.
