PD Officer that was attempting to stop a vehicle for speeding. The
vehicle failed to stop for the officer north on the Parks Hwy. from

to fall apart. Troopers tracked the vehicle by marks made in the
pavement from the flat tires and located the vehicle stopped in the
middle of the roadway near mile 97 of the Parks Hwy. The operator was
still in the driver's seat attempting to drive the vehicle but the drive
train of the vehicle was no longer operational. The operator refused to
exit the vehicle and had to be physically taken out of the vehicle after
Troopers were forced to break out windows to gain access to the
operator. The operator was identified as Deepak Chaudhary, age 24, of
Anchorage. Chaudhary was arrested and turned over to the Wasilla PD
Officer who remanded Chaudhary to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility charged
with Fail to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer in the First
