The phone lines to the Emmonak post office were cut on Tuesday in what appears to have been a burglary attempt, troopers say. See the dispatch below.

Type: MVC-I
Text: On 11/02/2008 at 1228 hours, the Alaska State Troopers were
notified that there was a single motor vehicle crash near Mile 14 of the
North Tongass Highway. The driver of the 2007 Red Mitsubishi Raider was
identified as Donald Barker Jr, age 36, of Ketchikan. Investigation
revealed that D. Barker was traveling South on the North Tongass Highway
when he drove off the road and into a steep ditch causing the vehicle to
roll once and coming to rest on the passenger side of the vehicle. D.
Barker was transported to Ketchikan General Hospital for minor injuries.
Alcohol has been determined to be a factor in the crash. Investigation
continues.

Text: On 11/04/08 at 1535 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a
traffic stop on a silver Chevy Cobalt for failing to use a turn signal
at Mile 1 Revilla road. Investigation revealed that the driver Jesse
Ball, age 20, of Ketchikan was in the possession of a small amount of
Marijuana. J. Ball was issued a summons at the scene for
Misconduct-Involving a Controlled Substance 6th Degree and issued a
traffic citation for Failure to Show Proof of Insurance.

Text: On 09/04/08 at 0650 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a
report that Olive Natkong, age 22, of Ketchikan was intoxicated and in
violation of her conditions of release set by the Ketchikan Court. O.
Natkong was arrested for violating conditions of release after
investigation revealed that O. Natkong had consumed alcohol. O. Natkong
was transported to KCC and bail was set at $300.00.

Type: DUI / Endangering the Welfare of a Minor in the First Degree 1st

Text: On 11/05/2008 at approximately 0200 hours, Alaska State Troopers
contacted Vivian M. Seal during an disturbance investigation at a
residence on Kaye Lake Road, Big Lake. Investigation revealed that 38
yoa Vivian M. Seal of Houston was operating the vehicle while impaired
and under the influence of alcohol and while her Drivers License was
revoked. Seal also had a minor child in the passenger seat of the
vehicle she was operating. Seal was arrested and transported to MSPT
and was held on a bail of $2,500.00 and a court approved third party.

Type: Burglary II, Theft II, and Criminal Mischief IV
Text: On 11/5/2008, approx. 0300 hours, Alaska State Troopers
investigated a commercial burglary at the Butte Store/Caf=E9 located
near mile 11.5 of the Old Glenn Highway in Butte/Palmer. Investigation
revealed that on 11/5/2008, approx. 0210 hours, unknown subject(s)
entered the business by breaking out a window, causing approx. $200.00
damage. Stolen was an undisclosed amount of cash and in the process of
the theft approx. $100.00 additional damage was caused to the property.
The subject(s) fled the scene prior to AST arrival. Anyone with any
information regarding this ongoing investigation is strongly urged to

Text: On 11/5/08 at 0520 hours, AST responded to a report of a motor
vehicle collision near mile 61 of the Parks Hwy. Investigation revealed
that 34 year old Elizabeth Nesbit of Peter's Creek was traveling
southbound when she lost control of her 2005 Pontiac sedan and ran off
the road. There were no injuries, and all of the occupants were wearing
seatbelts. Nesbit license was also canceled. Nesbit was given a
summons for driving on a canceled license, and cited for the accident.

Type: Theft in the Second Degree
Text: On 11-05-08 at approximately 1515 hours, Alaska State Troopers
received a report of a theft from the Pioneer Peak Elementary School
that occurred the previous evening. Electronic items worth
approximately $800 were taken from two classrooms. Investigation
revealed that on 11-04-08, between 1645 and 1930 hours, two males
(approximately 16 year of age) were seen leaving the classroom area
hallway with backpacks on. The gym area of the school was open to the
public for voting purposes during this time. Anyone with any
information regarding this ongoing investigation is strongly urged to

Text: On 11-05-08 at approximately 1400 hours, Alaska State Troopers
arrested Fred J. Roehl, age 33 of Wasilla, at his residence off East
Pike Ave, Wasilla. Roehl had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for
failure to appear for an Alchohol Screening And Probation status hearing
for a previous DUI charge. Roehl was arrested, transported and remanded
to Mat-Su Pretrial with bail set at $100.

Text: On 11-4-08 at 1400 hours, Robby Levi ( 27 years old) of Aniak was
arrested for probation violation. Robby Levi was contacted by Troopers
and found to have been drinking an alcoholic beverage which is a
violation of his probation. Robby Levi was transported to YKCC in Bethel
and incarcerated.

Text:
On 11/04/08 at approximately 0830 hours officials with the US Postal
Service reported to AST that the Emmonak Post Office facility had its
phone lines cut during the previous night.
Investigation revealed possible signs of attempted entry into the
building and additional evidence was recovered indicating possible
suspects. The investigation continues and US Postal Inspectors have been
notified.

with Criminal Mischief when he broke the seat of the aircraft he was

Text: On Tuesday, November 4, 2008, the Village Public Safety Officer in
Mountain Village arrested Roland Johnson, 51 yoa of Mountain Village, on

Sexual Abuse of a Minor III and one count of Sexual Assault III.
Johnson was transported to Bethel and remanded at the Yukon Kuskokwim
Correctional Center.

Ashley Hovis, of Fairbanks who reported a passenger side window of her
vehicle was broken out while the vehicle was parked near Summit Lake.
Two snowboards were stolen from the vehicle. The snowboards were valued
at $1200.00. In incident is believed to have occurred on 10-31-08.

Type: Driving under the influence / Driving with no valid license
Text: On 11-05-08, at approximately 0725 hours, Alaska State Troopers in
Tok responded to milepost 3.5 of the Tetlin Rd. following a citizen
report of motorist driving under the influence. Investigation revealed
that Thomas W. Joe, age 40 of Tok, was driving while under the influence
of alcoholic beverages and driving without a valid license. Joe was
arrested for driving under the influence and driving without a valid
driver's license. He was lodged in the Tok holding facility.

Text: On Nov. 5, 2008, Palmer Superior Court Judge Eric Smith sentenced
Donald B. Voorhis, 51, to serve 52 years with seven years suspended. On
July 30, 2008, a jury found Voorhis guilty of charges stemming from his
actions near his Rampart Road trailer home in September 2006. Voorhis
was found guilty of one count of Attempted Murder for firing his rifle
at an Alaska State Trooper, who had entered the trailer to arrest
Voorhis on Sept. 10, 2006. Voorhis was also found guilty of seven counts
of Assault in the Third degree for pointing a rifle and/or firing at
three civilians and at various State Troopers between Sept 6 and Sept.
10 of 2006. Additionally, Voorhis was found guilty of one count of
Violating Conditions of his Court Release, one count of Reckless
Endangerment and one count of Resisting Arrest. The jury found Voorhis
not guilty of charges of two counts of Attempted Murder.
His is being held at Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
