Alaska Politics Blog

This is the place to talk about Alaska politics, state, local, national. Public life in the Last Frontier has never been more interesting -- Sarah Palin, a new governor, a new Anchorage mayor, the political corruption investigation, the usual hardball Alaska politics. Come here for news, tidbits and information, and join the discussion. We encourage lively debate, but please keep it civil and stay on point. Comments (0) |

The campaign issued a two-page summary of Palin's medical history, signed by her family doctor in the Valley, Cathy Baldwin-Johnson.

Download it here.

Baldwin-Johnson writes that Palin has been a patient at the same clinic for 17 years and during that time has been in good health. She had four full-term deliveries and one pre-term delivery, earier this year.

"Governor Palin has had no major medical problems. Her hospitalizations have been for childbirth...She is physically fit with a regular exercise regimen. At the time of her most recent medical evaluation, she continued to be in good health and was recovering well from the birth of her last child, Trig.

"In summary, Governor Palin is in excellent health and has no known health problems that would interfere with her ability to carry out the duties and obligations of the Vice President of the United States of America."
