A student at an elementary school in St. Mary's is under investigation for brandishing a gun at other students. See the dispatch below.

Type: NVOL / MICS VI
Text: On 10-29-08 at approximately 1949 hours, Alaska State Troopers
conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Sylvan
Road and the Parks Hwy in Wasilla for a traffic violation. Investigation
revealed the 17 year old the male driver was operating the vehicle
without a valid operator's license and was in possession of marijuana.
The juvenile was issued a summons for No Valid Operator's License.
Charges for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance VI are being
forwarded. The juvenile was released to a parent.

Type: Warrant Arrest
Text: On 10-29-08 at approximately 2330 hours, Troopers contacted Wayne
Rutherford, age 55 of Willow, at his residence. Rutherford had an
outstanding arrest warrant for $1,000.00 for failure to appear in court
on DWLR and Violating Conditions of Release charges. Rutherford was
arrested and remanded into MSPT.

Type: Assault II (DV)
Text: On 10/30/08 at approximately 0133 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a 911 call of an assault-after-the-fact that came from an
unnamed victim somewhere in Big Lake. Before dispatchers could get the
name or location of the victim, the victim hung up. After exhaustive
investigation, Troopers contacted the victim at approximately 0920 hours
at a residence off of Burma Road near Big Lake. Investigation revealed
that Leon L. O'Donnell, age 41 of Anchorage, had assaulted his
girlfriend. O'Donnell was arrested, transported, and remanded to Mat-Su
Pre-Trial on the charge of Assault-in-the 2nd-Degree, Domestic Violence
with no bail set.

Type: Driving While License Suspended
Text: On 10-29-08 at approximately 1101 hours, Alaska State Troopers
conducted a traffic stop on a red, 1997 Ford pickup near mile 3 of Knik
Goose Bay Road in Wasilla for excessive speed. The driver of the vehicle
was identified as Arthur Theodore, age 60 of Wasilla. Investigation
revealed that Theodore was operating the vehicle with a suspended
driver's license for failure to maintain liabilty insurance. Theodore
was issued a summons to appear in court at a later date for DWLS.
Theodore was released at the scene and the vehicle was released to a
driver with a vaild driver's license.

Type: Criminal Mischief III - DV
Text: On 10/29/08, approximately 1805 hours Kotzebue AST was notified of
a domestic disturbance in the village of Kivalina. Troopers responded
and the investigation revealed on 10/28/08, approximately 2300 hours, 19
year old Walter N. Swan had become angry with another family member.
The family member left the house after a verbal argument with Swan.
Swan proceeded to damage the family member's personal items with a total
value of $500.00. The family member returned to their residence the
following day and observed the damaged items and reported it to the
Troopers. Swan was arrested without incident and transported to the
Kotzebue Regional Jail and remanded on no bail pending arraignment. No
alcohol was involved.

Type: Arrest Warrant
Text: On 10/30/2008, at approximately 1045 hours, Alaska State Troopers,
in Bethel, arrested Darrell Alexie, age 30 of Mountain Village, on an
outstanding Arrest Warrants. The Warrant was issued by the Saint Mary's
District for Violating Conditions of Release following the Original
charge of Theft in the 2nd degree. Alexie was arrested at Hageland
Aviation without incident and remanded to YKCC.

Type: Misconduct Involving a Weapon
Text: On Wednesday, October 29, 2008, the Alaska State Troopers
received a report from David Herbert, the superintendent with the St.
Mary's School District that a student had brandished a gun at several
other students the night prior at the Elicarvicuar Elementary School in
St. Mary's. The investigation is on-going.

Type: Burglary I-DV/Criminal Mischief III-DV/Assault IV-DV
Text: On 10/30/08, approximately 0830 hrs., State Troopers received a
report of a burglary, criminal mischief and assault which had occurred
in Clark's Point. Betty Gardiner, age 39 yoa, of Clark's Point reported
that on 10/29/08, approximately 2358 hrs., Justin Gardiner, age 21, of
Clark's Point, her biological son, broke into her residence, causing
approximately $1,000.00 of damage. Investigation resulted in the arrest
of Justin Gardiner for Burglary I-DV, Criminal Mischief III-DV, and
Assault IV-DV. Justin Gardiner was transported to Dillingham where he
was lodged into jail, with no bail.

Text: On 10/28/08 at 1134 hours AST responded to a report of burglary at
Pike's Waterfront Lodge in Fairbanks. Investigation led to the arrest
of Austin Ketzler, age 18 of North Pole, on 10/29/08 for burglary in the
second degree and theft in the second degree. Ketzler was transported
to Fairbanks Correctional Center by AST.

Type: Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
Text: On 10-30-08 at 1534 hours, Troopers concluded an investigation
into a juvenile party in Healy that happened on 10-24-08. Investigation
revealed that Craig BURNHAM, 22 of Healy, was present at the party with
alcohol and that juveniles had consumed alcohol. BURNHAM has been
issued a summons to appear in the Healy District Court on 11-24-08 for
Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. If BURNHAM does not appear,
an arrest warrant will be issued. Investigation complete.

domestic violence.
Text: On 10-29-2008, at 2240 hours Alaska State Troopers responded to a
Cherokee residence for a 911 assault call. Robert Edward Reichmann JR,
age 23 of Fairbanks, was arrested for assault 4 and interfering with a
report of domestic violence.

Type: After Arraignment - C/F Salmon Closed Waters
Text: On 10/29/08, Robert A. Fischer 61 YOA of Blaine WA. pled guilty in
the District Court of Cordova to the Charge of Commercial Fishing in
Closed Waters. On 8/11/08, Cordova Post Alaska Wildlife Troopers
received a complaint that the F/V Saint Zita ADF&G# 4449, had
commercially fished in closed waters near Ester Passage in Prince
William Sound. AWT responded to the area aboard the P/V Kvichak and
found the F/V Zita in the same area. Investigation revealed FISCHER was
the skipper and permit holder and that he did commercial fish in closed
waters. FISCHER was fined $3000 with $1500 suspended and to pay a 10
dollar surcharge. He was further put on probation for 1 year and will
receive 3 points towards his permit.

Text: On 10/27/2008, at approximately 1555 hours, Alaska Wildlife
Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 1983 tan Ram Charger near mile 55
of the Glenn HWY. Investigation revealed, Daniel Dolfi, 61 of Sutton
was operating a vehicle without a valid driver's license. Dolfi was
issued a summons to appear in court for Driving while License Suspended
and one other traffic citation. The vehicle was released to a licensed
driver.

Text: On 10-29-08, 62 year old Hubert L. Chatin of Carson City, NV pled
no contest to one count of taking a sub legal Dall Sheep. Chatin was
fined $2,000 with $1,000 suspended, and was placed on probation for two
years. The cape and horns of the illegal sheep were forfeited.

Text: On October 30, 2008, Kenai Adult Probations conducted a home visit
and contacted probationer Donald Brand, age 58, of Nikiski. Probation
Officers discovered controlled substances and notified SCAN
investigators. A search warrant was secured and served at the
residence. The search resulted in the seizure of heroin,
methamphetamine, packaging material and scales. Brand was arrested by
Probations on a Parole Violation and transported to Wildwood Pretrial
Facility. Charges of MICS will be forwarded to the District Attorney.

Text: On 10-30-08, at approximately 0951 hours, Judicial Services
arrested Heidi Schroeder, age 24, of Anchorage on an outstanding warrant
charging her with theft in the second degree and two counts of theft in
the third degree. Schroeder was lodged at the Highland Mountain
Correctional Center in lieu of $10,000 cash/corporate bail plus a court
approved third party custodian.
