I used to live out in south west Alaska and the small rivers and lakes that feed into the Lower Yukon river are awsome for Pike. I have landed 40" pike that barely squeezed out of a 8" auger hole. My family and I moved into Anch in 2004 and we tried some of the local lakes and caught some trout but nothing big. I just don't know where to go. Can anyone share a good fishing hole that I can drive to. And what have you used to catch them there. I used to use # 2 and 3 Red Devils or a piece of fresh white fish on a trebble hook and a tip up.
