Case number: 08-89161
Type: No Valid Operators License (NVOL)
Text: On 10/26/2008 at approximately 0030 hours Alaska State Troopers
contacted Edward Nelson III for a moving violation while operating a
1993 Grand Am near mile 58 of the Glenn Hwy. Investigation determined
Nelson does not hold a valid operators license in any state. Nelson was
issued a summons and released at the scene.

Case number: 08-89216
Type: Theft in the 2nd Degree
Text: On 10/26/08, at approximately 1055 hours, Alaska State Troopers
recieved a report of a theft from a vehicle at approximately mile 11
Knik-Goose Bay Road in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that an unknown
person(s) entered an unlocked, parked vehicle and removed a black,
Mossberg 12 Gauge Shotgun. Investigation continues, if you have any
information about this or any other crime please contact the Alaska
State Troopers or call Crime Stoppers at 745-3333

Location: Kodiak

Case Number: 08-89189

Type: Motor Vehicle Collision Injury, Driving Under the Influence,
Negligent Driving

Text: On Sunday, 10-26-08, at about 0347 hours, Alaska State Troopers
received a report of a single vehicle rollover at the Kodiak Bible
Chapel on Island Lake Road. State Troopers and Bayside Vol. Fire Dept.
personnel responded where they observed a red 1995 Dodge pickup upside
and unoccupied. The vehicle was totaled as a result of the collision.
The driver 23 YOA David Floyd Keplinger of Kodiak was contacted and
observed to be under the influence of alcohol. Keplinger failed field
sobriety tests and was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
Keplinger was issued a citation for Negligent Driving and remanded at
the Kodiak Jail without incident..

Location: Iliamna

Case number: 08-89052

Type: Driving Under the Influence and Minors Consuming

Text: On 10-25-08 at approximately 0930 hours, Alaska State Troopers
received a report of a juvenile party and possible drinking and driving
in Iliamna. Troopers responded to a residence in Iliamna and contacted
Kirsty S. Coghill, age 19 of Iliamna, Andrew Eknatty, age 20 of Iliamna,
and a 17 year old male from Newhalen who had been consuming alcoholic
beverages. Investigation revealed that Coghill had also been driving a
motor vehicle under the influence. Coghill was arrested for DUI and all
three individuals will be referred to the court for the violation of
minors consuming alcoholic beverages. Coghill was transported to King
Salmon pending arraignment.

Type: Sexual Assault

Text: On 10-25-08 at approximately 1200 hours, the Alaska State Troopers
investigated the report of a sexual assault which had occurred in Adak
on 8-23-08 around 2300 hours. Investigation revealed that a female
adult was sexually assaulted by her boyfriend at their mutual residence.
Investigation continues.

Text: On 10-26-08 at approximately 2359 hours, the Alaska State Troopers
investigated the report of theft of a firearm from the Adak Police
Department sometime during the last two months. A suspect has been

Type: Warrant Arrest

Text: On 10/24/08, Andrew Makaily III, 25 YOA of Pilot Station, was
arrested by VPO's in Pilot Station on an outstanding arrest warrant for
4 counts of Assault in the Fourth Degree. Makaily was transported to
Bethel and remanded to the custody of YKCC. He is held on $2000 bail.

Case number: 08-89295
Type: Theft III
Text: On Sunday, 10-26-2008, at about 1806 hours, Alaska State Troopers
received a report from 27 Andrew William Schroeder of Kodiak that his
red Necky Model Amaruk kayak with life vests, paddles, and attached
spray curtain had been stolen from Mill Bay Beach. The kayak has since
been recovered and is valued at $1,900.00. Investigation continues.

Text: On 10/25/08, Unalakleet AST received a report from the VPO in
St. Michael that a 30 year old female had been assaulted; she was
treated and released from the St. Michael Clinic. A suspect has been
identified and investigation is continuing.

Text: On 10/25/08, Nome AST received a report from the VPO in St.
Michael that someone had thrown a rock through the window of a residence
in the village. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is

Type: Assault

UPDATE:

On 10/24, at 1730 hrs, Piuk Washington, age 29 of St. Michael was
arrested for assaulting his girlfriend, for violating his conditions of
release and for a probation violation. On 10/25, Washington was
transported to Nome for arraignment.

Text: On 10/24/08, Nome AST received a report of an assault in St.
Michael. Unalakleet AST is assisting the St. Michael VPO in completing
the investigation. The victim did not require medical attention.
Alcohol was involved.

Type: Felony Probation Violation

Text: On 10-25-08 at 0145 hours, VPSO Peratrovich and the Alaska State
Troopers received a report of an alcohol drinking party in the local
option community of Gambell. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest
of Kyle Booshu, 27 of Gambell, for Felony Probation Violation. Booshu
was transported to Nome and remanded to the Anvil Mountain Correctional
Center.

Type: Probation Violation, Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance
VI, Violation of Conditions of Release.

Text: On 10-24-08 at 2315 hours, VPSO Peratrovich and the Alaska State
Troopers received a report of an alcohol drinking party in the local
option community of Gambell. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest
of Brendan Oseuk, 34 of Gambell. Oseuk is charged with Probation
Violation, Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance VI, and Violation
of Conditions of Release. Oseuk was remanded to the Anvil Mountain
Correctional Center.

Type: Disorderly Conduct

Text: On 10-25-08 at 0114 hours, the Alaska State Troopers and VPSO
Peratrovich received a report of a disturbance at a Gambell residence.
Jason Annogiyuk, 29 of Savoonga, was subsequently arrested for
Disorderly Conduct. Annogiyuk was remanded to the Anvil Mountain
Correctional Center.

Case number: 08-89205

Type: Death Investigation

Text: On 10/26/08 at about 0053 hours, Nome AST received a report of a
shooting in one of the villages in the Nome area. The victim, a
juvenile male, was declared deceased at 0030 hours. The State Medical
Examiner was notified and the next of kin was present at the scene.
Investigation is on-going and weather conditions have hampered response
efforts.

Case Number: 08-89242

Type: Assault in the Fourth non DV

Text: On 10-23-08 at 1009 hours an assault was reported in Grayling. The
assault occurred on 10-22-08 at 1900 hours. The male victim did not
require medical attention. Trooper response was delayed due to weather
conditions in the area. Alcohol was involved. The parties involved were
unrelated. The investigation continues.

Location: Nunam Iqua

Case Number: 08-89496

Type: Missing Person

Text:

On 10/27/08 at approximately 1230 hours AST received a report of a 39YOA
male missing from Nunam Iqua. The initial report stated that he was last
seen on 10/25/08, and that his snowmachine was also missing. AST and
local volunteers commenced search activity on 10/27/08, and have yet to
locate the individual. Alcohol is believed to have possibly been
involved in the disappearance.

The Alaska State Troopers would like to remind travelers to plan for
emergencies, carry survival gear, and dress appropriately. Please use
caution when traveling by snowmachine and beware of deteriorating ice
and weather conditions. Travelers are urged to call the Alaska State
Troopers and complete a travel report prior to traveling.

Case number: 08-89374
Type: Assault in the 4th Degree
Text: On 10/27/08 at 0812 hours Alaska State Troopers received a 911
call reporting an assault at a Fairbanks Street address. Sonya Lord,
age 20 of Fairbanks, was contacted and subsequently arrested for assault
in the fourth degree. Lord was transported to Fairbanks Correctional
Center by the AST.

Case number: 08-89441
Type: Motor Vehicle Collision
Text: On 10/27/08 at 1146 hours a 2008 Scion TC was traveling south on
the Richardson Highway at Mile Marker 344 when the vehicle left the
roadway and skid down an embankment. The vehicle came to a rest after
colliding with trees at the bottom of the embankment. Quindell Dixon,
age 18 of Eielson AFB, was driving the Scion and was uninjured during
the collision.

Type: MVC-I.
Text: On 10-25-08, at approximately 2247 hours, Troopers responded to a
one car roll over at mile 138.5 Sterling HWY. Investigation determined
that Sherrie Abbott, 49 yoa, of Anchor Point, was ejected when she lost
control of her vehicle and it rolled numerous times. She was transported
to Central Peninsula Hospital, with numerous injuries. Investigation is
on going
