Case Number: 08-85679

Type: SAR - Overdue Boaters

Text: On 10-13-08, at 2200, Juneau AST received information about an
overdue boater with two people on board. The caller reported that Ivan
Ivanoff and Kathleen John, both of Juneau had departed Taku lodge at
about 1715 and had failed to return to Juneau on time. The caller
further stated that the couple had been experiencing boat problems
earlier in the trip and had not been answering cell phone calls. The US
Coast Guard was contacted and briefed on the situation as well as the
Civil Air Patrol and Alaska Army National Guard. At about 2247, prior to
any major actions being taken, the two boaters were contacted and
reported that they were OK, and would be returning at first light.

Text: On 10-14-08, Curtis Hughes, age 18 of Juneau was arrested on an
outstanding $250 warrant for failure to appear. He was remanded to the
Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Type: DUI

Text: On 10-13-08 at 2345 hours AST stopped a 1988 Audi at
Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Trunk Road for an equipment violation.
Investigation revealed that 24 year old Matthew Theodore of Wasilla was
driving while under the influence of alcohol. Theodore was arrested and
remanded at Matsu Pretrial on $250 bail. His vehicle was towed from the
scene.

Location: Palmer

Type: MVC-I
Text: On 10/13/08 at approximately 0838 hours, State Troopers
responded to the Old Glenn Highway near the intersection of East Smith
Road, Palmer for the report of a motor vehicle collision with injuries.
Investigation revealed that Ray Justen age 17, Palmer was traveling
North on the Old Glenn Highway in a 1989 Ford Ranger. Amy Kennedy age
39, Palmer was traveling East on Smith Road in a 1985 Dodge Caravan with
two minors when she skidded on ice, thru a stop sign into oncoming
traffic on the Old Glenn Highway. Justen was unable to avoid colliding
with Kennedy's vehicle. The Ranger sustained an estimated $1,000 worth
of damage and the Caravan was considered totaled. Kennedy and the two
passengers in her vehicle were transported to the Mat-Su Regional
Medical Center where they were treated and released. Kennedy was cited
for failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision and seatbelt
requirements. All other parties reported wearing their seatbelts.

Type: Minor Consuming Alcohol

Text: On 10-14-2008 at approximately 0140 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a residence off of N Elsinore Way, near Wasilla, for a
report of a juvenile male with possible alcohol poisoning.
Investigation revealed that the 17 year old male had consumed alcohol
throughout the evening. The juvenile was subsequently transported to
Mat-Su Regional Hospital for observation and issued a summons for Minor
Consuming Alcohol.

Case number: 08-85775

Type: MVC-D

Text: On 10-13-08, at approximately 0646 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a reported single vehicle rollover near Schrock Road and
Lucille Street, Wasilla. Investigation revealed that a blue 1992 Nissan
pickup, operated by Nicole M. McKelvey, age 25, of Wasilla, was headed
east on Schrock Road, about 300 feet west of Lucille Street, when it
spun out on the ice covered road and entered the eastbound ditch. The
vehicle rolled and came to rest on it's roof. McKelvey was wearing her
seatbelt and reported no injuries. The vehicle sustained an estimated
$2,000.00 worth of damage. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Case number: 08-85967

Type: MVC-D

Text: On 10-13-08, at approximately 1504 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a reported motor vehicle collision on North Green Forest
Drive near East Reisner Loop, Palmer. Investigation revealed that a
gray, 2004 Ford F-250, operated by Shanda N. Norton, age 28, of Palmer,
was headed South on Green Forest Drive when it attempted to pass a black
2006 Chevrolet pickup, operated by Jason C. Lindfors, age 39, of
Wasilla, that was headed South on Green Forest Drive, attempting to turn
east into a driveway. The front of Norton's vehicle struck the left
front side of Lindfor's vehicle. After the collision, Norton's vehicle
entered the yard of a residence on the east side of Green Forest Drive,
and struck the front bumper of a white, 1990 Ford dump truck and came to
rest after colliding with a blue, 2004 Dodge pickup. The Ford dump
truck and Dodge pickup were unoccupied and were parked in the yard.
Both drivers reported wearing seat belts and were not injured. Norton's
and Lindfor's vehicles each sustained approximately $3,000.00 worth of
damage. The Ford dump truck sustained about $200.00 worth of damage and
the Dodge pickup sustained about $1,000.00 worth of damage. Norton was
issued a citation for Passing in a No Pass Zone.

Type: Warrant Arrest
Text: At about 0840 hours, 10-14-08, Byron R. Leu, 31 years of age, from
Palmer was contacted by the Judicial Services Warrant Section, Palmer
for a warrant service at the Palmer Court Building in Palmer. The
warrant was for Contempt of Court Failure to Comply with Community Work
Service on the original charge of Driving While License was
Suspended/Revoked/Canceled. He was released in court with a new court
date to appear in Anchorage on 10-20-08.

Type: MVC-D

Text: On 10-14-08, at approximately 0820 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Pittman Road near
Greensward Drive, Wasilla. Investigation revealed that a purple, 2004
Jeep Grand Cherokee, operated by Michelle A. Burris, age 25, of Wasilla,
was headed north on Greensward Drive, when it slid on the snow covered
road surface and entered the traffic lanes of Pittman Road. The Jeep
struck a green, 1998 Chevrolet pickup, that was headed west on Pittman
Road, operated by James D. Methven III, age 29, of Wasilla. The Jeep
also struck a flat bed trailer that was being towed by the pickup. All
occupants of both vehicles were wearing seat belts. No injuries were
reported. Both vehicles sustained approximately $4,000.00 worth of
damage. The estimated damage to the trailer is about $2,000.00. Burris
was issued a citation for Driver to Exercise Due Care to Avoid
Collision.

Type: DV Assault IV

Text: On 10/14/2008 at approximately 1223 hours, Alaska State Troopers
received a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on
Territorial Drive in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Timothy Bond, age
36 of Wasilla, physically assaulted his girlfriend. Bond was arrested
and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where he was held without bail.

Type: Assault IV Domestic Violence

Text: On 10/13/08 at 1710 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a
report of an assault in the village of Grayling. Investigation revealed
that Bradley Painter, age 23, of Grayling had assaulted a family member.
Response was delayed due to transportation difficulties. Alcohol was
involved. The investigation continues.

Type: Probation Violation

Text: On 10/14/08, at approximately 0244 hours, Nome AST received a
report that Douglas Seidelmann, 45 yoa of Nome, was intoxicated.
Investigation determined Seidelmann was intoxicated and is currently on
conditions of Probation in 2NO 08-659CR with conditions not to possess
or consume alcohol. Seidelmann was arrested for probation violation and
transported to AMCC without incident with the assistance of Nome Police
Department officers.

Text: On 10/13/08, Nome AST received a report of an assault in Elim.
Unalakleet AST assisted with the investigation, along with VPSO John
Peratrovich from Savoonga. The victim was treated and released from the
Elim Clinic. A warrant was issued for Aaron Moses, age 27 of Elim, for
Assault in the Fourth Degree.

Text: On 10-10-08, at 1345 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a
report of a death in Teller. Investigation shows Jonathan Weyanna Sr,
64 of Teller, died of natural causes. Next of kin has been notified.
No foul play is suspected.

Text: On 10/13/08, Unalakleet AST contacted Valarie Henry, age 24, and
Arthur Kimoktoak, age 43, both of Koyuk at a local airline as they were
traveling back to Koyuk. Incident to the contact, alcohol and marijuana
were seized from them. Charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled
Substance and Importation of Alcohol will be filed against them.

Text: On October 1, 2008, the Mountain Village Police Department
investigated a compliant at the Lower Yukon School District that a
school counselor had been assaulted by 16 yoa student. The student was
removed from the building by the Village Public Safety Officer. Charges
have been forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Bethel.

Type: Criminal Mischief 4, Criminal Trespass 2

Text: On Monday, 10-13-08, at about 1152 hours, Alaska State Troopers
received a report that a 1995 Wirtgen model W1000 milling machine owned
by Brechan Construction had been vandalized sometime between 10-11-08
and 10-13-08 by unknown individual(s). Alaska State Troopers responded
to Three Mile Beach located at 11.9 mile Pasagshak Highway where they
observed more than $50.00 in damage to the machines control panel.

Text: On 10-14-08 Alaska State Troopers stopped a blue Chevrolet
pickup for a moving violation. Investigation revealed the driver,
Justin MAYO 19 yoa of Fairbanks was driving with a revoked license as
well as a minor operating a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol. The
passenger, Walter NOLLNER age 19 was also cited for minor consuming.

Type: Motor Vehicle Crash- Damage Only

Text: On 10/10/08 at 2306 hours AST responded to a single vehicle crash
at Chena Hot Springs Road near Kasalek Road. A 2003 Toyota Tundra
driven by Molly Crnich-Blackburn (30 YOA, Fairbanks) crashed while
traveling west bound towards Fairbanks. As Crnich-Blackburn was driving
the truck started to slide on the ice. She was unable to regain control
of the vehicle and crashed into the ditch, rolling her vehicle. She was
uninjured in the crash and was wearing her seat belt.

Type: Motor Vehicle Collision - Injury

Text: On 10/14/2008 at 1232 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded
to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Badger Road and
Bradway Road. Investigation revealed John Akelkok, age 70 of Fairbanks
was driving his 1989 Dodge sedan southbound on Badger Road when a 1999
Subaru Legacy driven by Ethel Stoneman, age 81 of North pole, crossed
Badger Road westbound on Bradway Road in front of him. Akelkok was
unable to stop before colliding with Stoneman's vehicle. Stoneman and
Akelkok were both wearing seatbelts and both sustained minor injuries.
Akelkok was released at the scene and Stoneman was transported to the
Fairbanks Memorial Hospital by EMS. Both vehicles were totalled in the
collision and a stop sign at the intersection of Badger Road and Bradway
Road was knocked down. Stoneman was cited for Failure to Yield After
Stopping.

Text: On 10/13/2008, at approximately 1704 hours, AST attempted to
contact a female subject at her residence on Stoddard Road in the Anchor
Point area referance an arrest warrant. Investigation revealed that
Cherilynn Sexton, age 36, of Anchor Point, had an outstanding warrant
for her arrest. Sexton was transported to Homer jail and remanded with
$1000 bail and 5 days to serve.

Type: DUI

Text: On 10-12-08, Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted 45 year old Roy
Baldwin of Soldotna riding an ATV on a trail in Soldotna. Investigation
revealed Baldwin was riding the ATV while under the influence of
alcohol. Baldwin was arrested and remanded to the Wildwood Correctional
Center on the charge of DUI and bail was set at $500.00.

Text: On 10-10-08, Curtis K. YOUNT, 46 yoa of Wasilla AK, was cited by
the Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Delta for Taking a Bull Bison with a Cow
Bison Permit. YOUNT reported he had taken a young bull Bison that he had
mistakenly identified as a cow Bison. Arraignment is scheduled for
11-5-08 in Delta District Court.

Text: On 10-11-08, Stephen K. LUNDEEN, 54 yoa of Fairbanks AK, was cited

Season. LUNDEEN reported he had mistakenly shot a calf Moose during the
DM798 permit cow Moose hunt. Arraignment is scheduled for 11-19-08 in

Text: On 10/12/08, Matthew Youngs, 32 yoa, of Florida was cited by
Kodiak Wildlife Troopers for failing to release a Coho salmon that was

of Kodiak.

Case Number: 08-86251
Type: Importation of Alcohol
Text: On 10/14/08 at 1525 hours, Tok AWT contacted Tracy L. Easton, 48
yoa of Tetlin and Terri D. Easton, 44 yoa of Tetlin during a traffic
stop on the Tetlin Road. AWT Troopers had observed Tracy Easton
purchase alcohol in Tok and place it into the bed of a pickup driven by
Terri Easton. Both then attempted to bring the alcohol into Tetlin, a
dry village. The malt beverage was seized and both Easton's were issued
summonses for Attempted Importation of Alcohol with a future court date
and released.
