Dubinsky, Voros Playing Like First Liners

Comments (0) |

Though Brandon Dubinsky of Anchorage technically centers the New York Rangers' second line, with former UAF Nanooks winger Aaron Voros riding shotgun, both are putting up some first-liners' numbers lately.

Case in point: Monday's 4-1 win over the New Jersey Devils, which lifted the Blueshirts to 5-0-0 this season.

Dubinsky bagged a goal and two helpers to give him 3-4--7 totals in five games. He also won nine of 12 draws.

Voros, who logged 7-7--14 totals in his first NHL season with Minnesota last go-round, furnished two goals and one assist to give him 3-4--7 totals.

Those contributions were especially sweet given Dubinsky logged just 13:37 of ice time Monday and Voros logged 13:02.

Rangers alternate captain Scott Gomez, who centers the first line, logged 20:04 but didn't earn a point.
