Text: On 9/18/08 at approximately 0040 hours Alaska State Troopers
responded to a disturbance at a residence off Fairview Loop in Wasilla.
Investigation revealed that Ariel C. Sizemore, age 18 of Wasilla, had
repeatedly threatened to kill family members. Sizemore was arrested,
transported, and remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where she was held without
bail on the criminal charges of Assault III and Assault IV, both
involving domestic violence.

Case Number: 08-78160

Type: MVC-I, DUI, Refuse Breath Test, Misconduct Involving Weapons 4th
Degree, Minor Consuming Alcohol 2nd offense.

Text: On 9-18-08 at approximately 0155 hours AST Kodiak was notified by
a tow truck operator that when he responded to a vehicle in the ditch he
found the driver passed out behind the wheel. Investigation revealed
that Kodiak resident Joshua B. Baker, age 20, was north bound near Mile
17 Rezanof Drive West when he lost control of his Ford Focus and crashed
into the ditch. Baker sustained minor injuries. Baker was arrested at
the scene and taken to the Kodiak City Jail. He was charged with DUI,
Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test of his Breath, Misconduct Involving
Weapons 4th Degree, and Minor Consuming Alcohol (2nd offense). The
vehicle was impounded.

Type: Burglary

Text: On 9/11/08 at 1443 hours, the VPSO for Akiachak reported that the
Laundromat in Akiachak had been burglarized. The caretaker for the
Laundromat, Vera Kasayulie 46 YOA of Akiachak, reported that on or about
9/5/08, person(s) unknown entered the Laundromat through a window,
opened a safe and stole approximately $200 in cash from inside of the
safe. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information
concerning this burglary is requested to call the Alaska State Troopers
in Bethel at 1-800-478-9112.

Type: Furnishing Alcohol to Person Under 21/Illegal Importation of
Alcohol

Text: On 9/17/08 at 1150 hours, Ida Ekamrak, 37 YOA of Akiachak,
reported that an adult male resident of Akiachak had furnished alcohol
to her 13 year old son. The investigation revealed that the adult male
and Ekamrak's son had been visiting at the adult's residence in
Akiachak, that the adult had been consuming whiskey and had imported
whiskey into Akiachak, a community which bans the importation of alcohol
into its village. No charges have been filed but the case is being
forwarded to the District Attorney's Office for screening.

Text: On 09/17/2008 at 1925 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a
traffic stop on Peter Vournas, age 50 of Fairbanks, for an equipment
violation. While contacting Vournas, it was discovered that Vournas had
no valid insurance for his vehicle. Vournas was given a summons for not

Type: Drive with no valid license
Text: On 9-17-08 at about 2200 hours Troopers charged a 17yoa male
juvenile from Fairbanks with driving without a Valid drivers license
after the juvenile was stopped for failing to yield while entering a
roadway near 23rd Ave and Cushman street. The juvenile and his vehicle
were released to a parent with charges forwarded for prosecution.

Type: Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Sixth Degree

Text: On 09-16-08 at 2155 hours, Troopers contacted Logan MARTZ, 25 of
North Pole, near mile 248 of the Parks Highway for a traffic infraction.
Investigation revealed that MARTZ was in possession of less than two
grams of marijuana. MARTZ was issued a summons for Misconduct Involving
a Controlled Substance in the Sixth Degree. Investigation complete.

Type: Drive While License Suspended

Text: On 09-17-08 at 1420 hours, Troopers contacted Charlamangne BOOTH,
25 of Kotzebue, at mile 267 of the Parks Highway for a traffic
infraction. Investigation revealed that BOOTH's license was suspended
for Failure to Maintain Liability Insurance. BOOTH was issued a summons
for Driving While License Suspended, and a citation for the original
traffic infraction. A licensed driver took possession of the vehicle.
Investigation complete.

Type: Fail to Provide Notice of Crash, Leave the Scene of Crash, Motor
Vehicle Crash-Damage

Text: On 09-17-08 at 1156 hours, Troopers initiated an investigation
into the damage of a 1995 black Dodge truck parked near mile 275 of the
Parks Highway. Investigation revealed that John BRITT III, 25 of
Anchorage, hit the vehicle with his 2008 Subaru. Damage to both
vehicles is expected to exceed $10,000. BRITT left the scene and did
not notify law enforcement of the crash.

During the investigation of the crash, Troopers noticed new unrelated
damage to Britt's vehicle. The damage was on the passenger front, it
was caused by impact and scraping, and there was red paint transfer
present. BRITT traveled from Healy towards Nemaha before crashing into
the Dodge truck. If anybody has unreported damage to property or
vehicles that happened during the early morning hours of 09-17-08, they
are asked to contact Troopers at 683-2232.

BRITT was issued a summons for Failure to Provide Immediate Notice of
Crash and a citation for the cause of the crash. The investigation is
on-going.

Type: Assault III
Text: On 09/17/08 at approximately 1253 hours, troopers responded to a
Delta school for the report of an assault. Investigation revealed
Nikolay G. Zagreychuk, age 34, of Delta Junction, assaulted a child at
his residence. The incident was reported when the child went to school.
Nikolay was arrested for Assault III and was transported to FCC where he
was held without bail.

Type: Motor Vehicle Collision- Moose/injury

Text: On 9-15-08, at 2126 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report
of a motor vehicle collision on the Parks HWY and Gold Hill. Christine
Marie Condit, age 58 of San Diego, California struck a moose while
travelling westbound on the Parks HWY. Condit utilized her seatbelt,
and was transported to FMH-ER, sustaining minor injuries. Damage to
Condit 2008 Chevrolet Malibu rental is estimated over $5000.

Text: On 9-12-08, at 1518 hours, A Girdwood Trooper contacted a man
passed out in a 1993 Honda Accord located at .5 mi. Bird Ridge hiking
trail. Investigation revealed Michael John Mills, age 40 of Anchorage,
was under the influence of alcohol while operating the vehicle. He was
arrested for Felony DUI and DWLR. Mills was also issued a citation
driving his car on a hiking path within the Chugach State Park. He was
transported to the Anchorage Jail and held on $10,000.00 cash bail.

Type: Take Sublegal Bull Moose
Text: On 9-14-08, Tom J. Coletti, 36 YOA of St. Charles MO, was cited by
Dillingham AWT for taking a sublegal bull moose near Tikchik Lake in GMU
17B. Coletti shot a 481/2 inch moose with two brow tines on each side.
Arraignment is scheduled in Dillingham District Court on 9-16-08 at 0830
hours. The antlers and meat of the illegally taken moose were seized.

On 9-16-08 at 0830 hours, Coletti appeared in Dillingham District court
for his arraignment and plead no contest to the charge. He was fined
$500.00, ordered to pay $1000.00 restitution to the State of Alaska for
the illegally taken moose, and the antlers and meat were forfeited to
the State of Alaska.

Text: On 9-13-08, Michael Shields, 42 YOA of Howell MI, was cited by
Dillingham AWT for removing the antlers of a bull moose he had taken
from the killsite, prior to salvaging all the edible meat of the moose.
On 9-13-08, the antlers had been transported to Dillingham while edible
meat remained on the killsite near Tikchik Lake in Game Management Unit
17B. The antlers were seized during the investigation. Arraignment is
scheduled in Dillingham District Court on 9-17-08 at 1330 hours.

moose he had taken near the Muklung River in GMU 17C. Downey shot a
moose on 9-6-08 and by the end of the hunt on 9-15-08, none of the
edible meat was fit for human consumption. The antlers were seized
during the investigation. Arraignment is scheduled in Dillingham
District Court on 9-18-08 at 1100 hours.

suspended for removing antlers before meat and $500.00 for failing to
salvage all the edible meat of the moose he had shot near Kemuk Mt. in
Game Management Unit 17B. In addition, the antlers seized by the state
were forfeited and he was placed on probation for a period of two years
under conditions of committing no other fish and game offenses.

antlered bull moose, and for taking those antlers before meat in Game
Unit 9E near Island Arm. The defendant was cited for the two offences,
the antlers were seized. Court date set for 09/19/08 in the Naknek Court

someone killed a bull moose at 38.2 Mile of Chena Hotsprings Road. A
joint investigation by Alaska State Park Rangers and Alaska Wildlife
Troopers determined that 20 YOA, Travis M. Scott killed the moose with a
bow and arrow on 09/17/08, two days after the close of moose season in
that area. Scott was contacted at his residence on Eielson AFB. The
moose was seized and Scott was issued a citation and will appear for
arraignment in the Fairbanks District Court for arraignment on 10/17/08.

Text: On 9/18/08 Tok AWT contacted Matthew G. Struttmann, 35 yoa of
Columbia, MO, after he contacted Troopers to report he had shot a sub
legal bull Moose. Investigation showed that Struttmann had taken a
Moose with antlers that were 46" in width and had 2 brow tines in an
area restricted to 50" or 4 brow tine Moose. It was further discovered
that Struttmann had failed to validate his Moose harvest card upon
taking the moose. Struttmann was cited for Take Sub Legal Moose with a
mandatory court date and issued a citation for failing to validate his
harvest tag with a bail amount of $160. The moose was seized and
donated to a charity.

Text: On 09/18/08 Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Robert W. Engstrom, 68
YOA, of Prior Lake, MN, for taking a caribou in Unit 20E, in an area
that was closed by emergency order. The citation was issued after an
investigation was conducted by Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Tok and
Fairbanks. The investigation was initiated after other hunters in the
area saw Engstrom with a caribou. Engstrom will be arraigned in the Tok
District Court on 10/22/08.
