The Dog Blog is a community of ordinary dog lovers who have come together to discuss our extraordinary dogs. Each Monday, a new topic is introduced. If you've got an opinion, share it. If not, look for the current "anything goes" topic and introduce a discussion of your own.
Your host: Mike Lewis is a little-dog nerd and the proud owner of Eddie and Jack, a pair of Yorkies who think they are huskies. Perhaps to save face among the big-dog owners around here, he rescued a goofy 9-year-old Lab named Rusty over the winter. An odd trio, for sure, but they are best friends and a happy pack.

Jack wins gallery photo contest
Denali and Gizmo: Second place
Jack, enjoying the good life as a retired racer, sprinted to the top of this week's dogshots gallery photo contest. Second in the same contest just a couple weeks ago, this week Jack left nothing to chance.
Photographed in his casual business attire, Jack pulled down six votes in a quiet week of voting. Second place went to chocolate Lab Denali, who was nice enough to serve as a pillow for Gizmo the chihuahua.
Thanks to all who submit photos to the galllery. Win or not, the pictures are admired by thousands of people every week.

Yes, definitely post pictures of your beagles to make them famous. I use all the pictures posted to the gallery in the weekly gallery contests. But I'm 60-80 pictures behind. I put 16 in the poll every 4-5 days, and I can't seem to catch up to the most current ones.
But I definitely put all of them in the contest. It just takes a couple weeks to show up.

This was taken at the Sullivan Arena at a home show we did a few weeks ago. I think the goofy look on his face is priceless.

Jack Jack is Absolutely Adorable
Jack Jack has the best personality, which definelty shows in this picture. I wish I could put a tie on Skipper, but he just couldn't pull it off!

I love that picture of Jack in his tie. I tried to convince Sondrals to get one for Kane at the Dog Jog. I figured it would help clue people in so they wouldn't call him a GIRL! Go Jack!

do you just pick random photos off the dog photos gallery? I should put some beagle pics in there just in case, and then my new found friends on dogblog could see my babies.
