Ex-Nanook Rogers Bound For Rio Grande Valley (CHL)

Former UAF Nanooks goaltender Wylie Rogers, whose college career ended in March with a dazzling 64-save performance in a 2-1 loss at Nebraska-Omaha, has signed with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League.

Rogers, the 23-year-old from Fairbanks, is one of three goalies the team signed -- the trio will battle for two goalie slots on the roster. Also signed were Bill Zaniboni, a former Northern Michigan backstop with a year under his belt in the CHL, and former Robert Morris tender Christian Boucher.
