Catching Up With Former Aces' D-Men: Pszenyczny And Later

Making the rounds through the pro hockey league websites tonight dug up a couple of former Alaska Aces defensemen who have signed with other clubs for the upcoming season.

Former Alaska blueliner Dave Dave Pszenyczny (still have the spelling of his last name taped to my laptop and on my office desk) has signed to play for the ECHL's Reading Royals, where he finished last season after being traded from the Aces for winger Brett Hemingway. (Hemingway has signed with the Aces).

Pszenyczny -- or as my girl calls him, "Davey Alphabet'' -- played for Phoenix, Alaska and Reading last season, earning 6-14--20 totals and 132 penalty minutes in 63 combined games.

Also, former Aces blueliner Steven Later, who started last season in Bakersfield of the ECHL before being traded to Reading, has signed with the Muskegon Fury of the International Hockey League. In 51 combined games last season, Later clocked 9-18--27 totals and 198 PIMs.

One of Later's teammates in Muskegon will be former Aces goaltender Isaac Reichmuth, who has signed for a second season with the Fury.
