Lyle Transitions From Officiating To Coaching

Former UAA Seawolves and East High winger Justin Lyle, who has been officiating all over the country for years, is moving from the ice to behind the bench.

According to this post on hockeyrefs.com, Lyle has been hired as an assistant coach by the Indiana Ice of the U.S. Hockey League, the same circuit that he played on with the Omaha Lancers prior to college.

Lyle, 32, has officiated in an abundance of junior and pro leagues, and worked games as high as the American Hockey League.

He played one season at UAA -- 1995-96 -- and bagged 3-3--6 totals in 31 games.
