Another Brother Tandem For Aces: The Hemingways

On the heels of the Heistens and the Talbots -- brother tandems who once played for the Alaska Aces -- the ECHL club has added a new tandem: Brett Hemingway and Colin Hemingway.

The club today announced the forwards have signed for the upcoming season.

Brett, 24, will be a returner. He joined the Aces in January as a rookie, after stops in Fresno and Reading -- Alaska acquired the winger in a trade. He flourished with the Aces, bagging 11-15--26 totals in 25 games, and helping boost the power play.

Colin, 27, is a returner of sorts, too. He played five games for the Aces in their 2005-06 Kelly Cup season. He spent last season with the Edinburgh (Scotland) Capitals in the Elite Ice Hockey League, earning 41-41--82 totals in 57 games to finish third in the league in goals and 10th in points.

Colin, who played three NHL games for the St. Louis Blues in 2005-06, has racked 42-46--88 totals in 84 career ECHL games.
