Rall, Strahle Make USA Hockey Select Under-17 Squad

Zack Rall and Trace Strahle of Anchorage are two of the seven defensemen named Wednesday to USA Hockey’s Under-17 Select Team, which will play in the Five Nations Tournament next month in Slovakia.

Rall, 16, and Strahle, 16, earned their spots based on their performances at USA Hockey’s Select 16 Player Development Camp last month in Rochester, N.Y.

Rall has played for the Alaska All Stars competition program and for South High. Strahle has played for the North Stars program and for Service High.

The Five Nations is set for Aug. 19-24 in Prievidza, Slovakia, and also includes squads from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Germany.
