Palmer skateboard park nears completion

From Mat-Su reporter Melodie Wright:

The Palmer Skateboard Facility will soon be ready to roll.
Palmer Mayor John Combs, one of the movers and shakers behind the two-year effort, said equipment arrives today from the American Ramp Company. A half-dozen folks will assemble and install it at its location at the intersection of Valley Way and Arctic Ave.
Although the official opening isn’t until 2 p.m. July 12, Combs said once installation is complete, skateboarders are welcome to use the 9,000 square foot park right away.

Definitely ready!

Pretty impressive range of injuries in just a few days. One said to involve someone using a bicycle on ramps intended for skateboards.

There are no sanitary facilities available so the resourceful users are making their own. Unfortunately, not very sanitary.

But if it keeps 'em off the streets.....

Lady who shared this with me asks whether the city's existing liability insurer is aware of this...or whether it's covered by said insurance at all.
