Return of the native

From Mat-Su reporter S.J. Komarnitsky:

Gov. Sarah Palin got a warm welcome from a hometown crowd at a Wasilla Chamber of Commerce meeting today.

Introduced as the "local one," she was greeted by whoops and a standing ovation by more than 100. Palin used the meeting to give residents what she described as "snapshot" of her energy plans for the state from a proposed one-time $1,200 energy check for all those who qualify for PFDs to the adminstration's current work on a gas line.

She said she was enouraged that Alaska was being included in energy discussions in Washington D.C. and also saw as positive that big oil companies have jumped in with their own proposal for a gas line.

She also signed two bills at the meeting - HB373, which extended state reimbursement for school construction projects, and HB 297, which allow veterinary medical students in their final year of graduate studies to return to the state to work under the supervision of an Alaska licensed veterinarian. Alaska previously had no legal provision that would allow a student enrolled in an accredited college to experience the practice of veterinary medicine in the state.

Look for more online and in print on Palin's speech.

Sarah Palin.

Stubborn Gov.Sarah Palin, manipulative and control freak, what could be the reason of benefit that Sarah Palin could get from Transcanada? Sarah Palin wants to do her way in state issues and she is ignoring public opinions. Gov.Sarah Palin forgot that people elected her to work for the best interest of the state and not to please herself and her wealthy friends. Why does want to give away $ 500 millions dollars? She wants to decide for herself by pushing and forcing some of the legislators and Alaska people to accept her ideologies. This is U.S.A. where there is democracy. We are not in the Socialist or Communism country where a dictator decides for the citizen. Sarah Palin where is the "Transparency". Sarah Palin already Violated the right of Alaskan citizen WILDLIFE(twice voted against by Alaskan voters) only to please herself and her wealthy urban friends. What can we expect from this liberal Governor? She didn't respect our Senator Lyda Green and she called her " fAT and Bith" However, Sarah Palin demands respect for herself. Also, Sarah Palin didn't care for the Parent Consent Act. This is a very important issue as long as the young girls and boys are the future of America.Sarah Palin only care about business where there is money Sarah Palin is there. Sarah Palin should work for the best interest of this beautiful state instead of pleasing people for popularity or votes. She hired state employees to keep her in power. In Sarah Palin's administration most of the state issues are managing as a secret services and are introducing bills according to their convenience and purposes.Sarah Palin is the one who is taxing high the oil companies, and the oil companies pass it on to us when we pump at the gas station or at the store. Sarah Palin doesn't affect this crisis because she is a millionarie. Now she try to be a good Samaritan by giving us some of our own money back, which she is collecting by oil companies and products.

This exercise in extending

Governor Palin's name recognition....it IS repeated so many times it could be an effort at nothing else...would be more effective were it broken into paragraphs.

In case it's not clear, paragraphs are created by pressing the "Return" key TWICE at the end of a sentence.

More people would read and the name-recognition would be greatly enhanced were it to seem less of an incoherent jumble.

Barnum, of course, is right about publicity but even HE used paragraphs.

Otherwise, nice work!

All I hear is

"blah blah blah blah blah". More bellyaching from someone so popular it drives the naysayers CRAZY. Although one thing did jump out at me: Does Sarah know she's a millionaire?? Did she win a lottery none of us knows about?

Ok...

It's okay, Andrew, we all lose at something from time to time.
