Text: On 6/17/2008 at approximately 2020 hours, 29 year old Simon McCamy
of Ketchikan turned himself into Alaska State Troopers. McCamy had an
outstanding $100.00 warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignments for a
case stemming from a previous DWLR case. McCamy was arrested without
incident and remanded at the Ketchikan Correctional Center on the
warrant.

Text: On 6-18-08, at 0915 a traffic stop was performed on vehicle ENC
691 for displaying April 2007 tabs. The owner of the vehicle was found
to operating with a revoked driver's license. Michael L. Adamson, 27 of
Juneau was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked
license and for operating a motor vehicle with an expired registration.
Arraignment is set for 7-10-08 in the Juneau District court.

Type: Criminal Trespass II / Warrant Arrest
Text: On 06/17/08, at 1831 hours, AST responded to the area of Lucille
St. on a reported burglary. Upon arrival, AST contacted 3 juvenile
males, ages 16, 16, and 14, all of Wasilla. An investigation revealed
the juveniles entered an opened garage at a residence located on
Mulchatna Dr. Upon being confronted by the homeowner, they ran from the
residence. No items were reported taken from the residence. All three
juveniles were issued summons for Criminal Trespass II and two were
released into the custody of their parents. One was arrested on an
outstanding warrant for MCA and was remanded into the Matsu Youth
Facility.

Text: On 6/17/08 at 1711 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report
of a burglary. Investigation revealed that sometime between 0900 hours
and 1700 hours on 6/17/08, someone entered a residence on Bally Shannon
and Donny Brook, Houston, and took several firearms and a Honda three
wheeler. The theft was estimated at approximately $3500.00.
Investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is encouraged to

Type: Assault IV on Peace Officer and Warrant Arrest
Text: On 6/18/08 at approximately 0757, Troopers contacted Kenneth
Riley, age 54 of Palmer, at his residence investigating a disturbance at
a medical center. During the investigation Riley refused to comply with
Troopers commands, grabbed one Trooper, and then attempted to push him.
Troopers responded by gaining control of Riley and arresting him for
Assault IV on a Peace Officer. Further investigation revealed Riley had
an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Failure to Appear for ASAP
hearing on an original charge of DUI. Riley was transported and
remanded to MatSu Pretrial custody where bail was set at $1500 for the
warrant and $1000 for the Assault.

Text: On 6-18-08, at about 1435 hours, a pilot for Yute Air spotted the
body of a 2 year old on the north shore of the Kuskokwim Bay about five

Text: On 06/14/08 at approximately 0952 hours, troopers conducted a
traffic stop on a Ford truck for having a shattered front windshield.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Richard S. Orozco, age 22,
of Delta Junction. Orozco was arrested for DUI after failing several
field sobriety tests. Orozco was transported to FCC where he was
remanded.

Type: Motor Vehicle Crash
Text: On 6-16-08, at 1939 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to
Chena Ridge Road near Old Chena Ridge Road for a single vehicle rollover
crash. Chena-Goldstream Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service
responded to the crash scene. Contact was made with the driver, Jesse
J. Sanderson, 18 of Fairbanks, who was operating his 2002 Dodge Neon
sedan, and was being treated by EMS personnel. The passenger, Brian S.
Powell, 18 of Fairbanks, was still inside of the vehicle and was being
extricated from the vehicle. Both Sanderson and Powell were transported
to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for treatment. Investigation revealed,
Sanderson was westbound on Chena Ridge Road, when he entered into a
downgrade curve near Old Chena Ridge Road at a high rate of speed.
Sanderson lost control of his vehicle and went off the roadway, down an
extreme embankment, plowing through several trees and finally stopped
and almost upside down. Both Sanderson and Powell were wearing their
seatbelt and were treated and release from the hospital. Sanderson was
cited for Negligent Driving.

Type: Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree / Disorderly Conduct
Text: On 06-18-08 at approximately 0130 hours, Troopers were dispatched
to the Salmon Bake Bar in Denali for the report of a disturbance.
Investigation revealed that Anthony RAMA, 22 of Oregon and a fired
transient worker in Denali, created a disturbance and hazardous
condition for others when he hit a window repeatedly with his fist,
broke glass, got blood and glass into a taco bar, and caused a fight
inside the establishment. RAMA was located a short time after the
incident, and charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree and
Disorderly Conduct. If RAMA fails to show for any court appearances, an
arrest warrant will be issued. Investigation complete.

Text: On 6-17-08 at approximately 1644 hours, Troopers responded to a
reported assault after the fact at an Anchor Point residence. As a
result of Troopers investigation, James Otis, 50 yoa of Anchor Point,
was placed under arrest for Assault II and Assault IV. He was
transported to the Homer Jail where he was remanded with no bail. The
victim sustained a broken wrist in the altercation.

Type: Motor Vehicle Collision with Injuries
Text: On 6/16/08, at 0826 hours, Troopers received a report of a 3 car
collision near mile 42 of the Seward Highway. An investigation showed
that the area was a work zone with traffic being stopped by flaggers.
Paul Tomlinson, 44 of Anchorage, was traveling north bound when he did
not realize that the car in front of him was stopped. He struck the
vehicle from behind which then caused that vehicle to strike the next
vehicle in line. The driver of the vehicle struck by Tomlinson was
identified as Patricia Sirois, 47 of Soldotna. The driver of the
vehicle struck by Sirois's vehicle was identified as Michael
Rheinschmidt, 57 of Anchorage. Tomlinson complained of pain in his
chest from the collision but declined medical treatment. All occupants
of all the vehicles were wearing seatbelts at the time of the
collisions. Alcohol was not a factor in the collisions. Tomlinson was
cited for driver to exercise due care to avoid a collision.

Type: Assault IV on a Police Officer, Harassment 1 x 3, Resisting Arrest
Text: On 6-15-08 at approximately 1856 hours, VPSO McComack reported he
had been assaulted by Jeffery Evans, 38 yoa of Nanwalek, who was highly
intoxicated and combative. Troopers responded to Nanwalek and contacted
Evans at a residence. Evans was placed under arrest and resisted,
attempting to kick a Trooper in the face. Evans additionally spit at
Troopers and the VPSO numerous times while transporting him to the
plane. Evans was ultimately transported to the Homer Jail where he was
remanded on charges of Assault IV on a police officer x 2, Resisting
arrest and Harassment 1 x 3.

Location: Cooper Landing
Case number: 08-47181
Type: Motor Vehicle Collision with Injuries
Text: On 6/16/08, at 1049 hours, Troopers from Cooper Landing and Seward
responded to a single vehicle rollover near mile 57.5 of the Sterling
Highway. An investigation showed that Bill Hays, 77 of Sterling, was
traveling south bound on the Sterling Highway when he tried to avoid an
object in the road and went into the ditch. He was unable to control
the vehicle and it rolled three times and came to rest on it's top.
Hays sustained injuries to his head and was transported to the Soldotna
Hospital by ambulance. Hays was wearing his seatbelt and alcohol was
not a factor in the incident.

along Illiuliuk Bay, in Unalaska. Martinez was discovered to be fishing
without a 2008 sport fishing license and was issued a citation for Sport
Fishing without a License in Possession. Bail was set at $210.00 for

Text: On 6/17/08, Gareth Demoski was arraigned in Fairbanks Superior
Court on charges of Sexual Assault in the First Degree (x2), Attempted
Sexual Assault in the First Degree (x2), Sexual Assault in the Second
Degree (x2), Burglary in the First Degree, Criminal Mischief in the
Third Degree, and Assault in the Fourth Degree. The charges stem from
cases investigated by the Alaska Bureau of Investigation, Fairbanks, in
relation to three separate incidents ranging from June, 2007 to June,
2008. Demoski is currently being held at Fairbanks Correctional Center
on bail of $125,000 plus court approved third party custodian.
