Crabb Cops Calder Cup (And That's a Wrap)

Congrats to second-year winger Joey Crabb of Anchorage, who copped the Calder Cup with the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves on Tuesday night.

Chicago defeated the visiting Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, who included former Alaska Aces sniper Chris Minard and second-year winger Tim Wallace of Anchorage, 5-2 in Game 6 of the Finals.

Crabb fired four shots Tuesday, when the Wolves blew open a 2-2 deadlock with three third-period goals.

And that's a wrap on North American pro hockey for the 2007-08 season -- why, it only took a mere eight months. Man, and you thought the baseball season was long? Of course, only 10 days to the NHL draft.
