Calder Cup Coming Closer For Crabb

Winger Joey Crabb of Anchorage edged closer to hoisting the American Hockey League's Calder Cup on Wednesday, when he contributed two assists in the Chicago Wolves' 6-1 dismantling of the host Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in Game 3 of the Finals.

Chicago leads the best-of-7 series 3-0 entering Friday's Game 4 in Pennsylvania.

Crabb's good fortune puts a couple of other Alaska-connected players in a tight spot. Penguins forwards Chris Minard, the former Alaska Aces sniper, and Tim Wallace of Anchorage now face the unenviable task of trying to win four straight games.
