Mysteries abound and call for deeply analytic discussion around the bistro table -- will Big and Carrie finally, actually get married? Will Smith Jarod bear it all on the big screen? Will Charlotte ever get pregnant?

I went to a SATC party last night, sponsored by 102.1 FM the BUZZ and others, to get truly hyped for the midnight release. And it was every bit as fabulous as expected -- SKYY Vodka even provided cocktail tasters for $20 with drinks named after each winsome woman in the show (the Samantha, when made correctly, packed a nice tequila punch). Unfortunately, as much as I love Bernie, the energy of the night was hampered by sporadic service -- due mostly to the fact that there were 100 plus ladies clamoring for cosmos -- and a somewhat frenzied air. Next time, I'd suggest planning it for somewhere with both a stage (for contest judging, because there was a Charlotte in the crowd who totally got robbed, and I'm not talking about me) and catering.

But for today, to celebrate this momentous and cute shoe-inspiring event, here are a few SATC tidbits to tide you over until you can see the real deal at the theater.

The movie: According to the New York Post's Page Six, several plot points in the movie correspond to real-life New York drama. Check it out here.

The fashion: If you're thinking of honoring your favorite of the fab foursome member, the official SATC Web site has an interactive feature where you can select a character, find out where they left off, and check out various "looks" they've rocked through the years. Plus, you can vote online for your favorite scandalous Samantha cover-up.

The quiz: Yes, you've already posted your character's affinity on your MySpace page and wailed to your friends wondering why you're always ranked Charlotte and never Samantha, but here's another chance to see which girl you truly relate to. Try the iVillage quiz, or the tbs.com quiz.

The drinks: The official SATC drink, of course, is the pink-toned pucker-inducing pleaser, the Cosmopolitan. Sometimes it's fun to just have a pink drink, so here are some recipes below if you're feeling frisky and a little tired of the old cranberry standby. Or, if you have an ingredient in mind, post a note to our bartending blogger and ask him to concoct you a special celebratory sip!

My fave: For a straight-up liquor that all but screams Carrie Bradshaw, purchase X-Rated Vodka for any cocktail recipe and keep it in your home bar.

Cosmopolitan
1 1/2 oz vodka
3/4 oz triple sec
3/4 oz cranberry juice
1 oz fresh lime juice

Love Wrench
1 1/2 oz Sarticious gin
1/2 oz triple sec
1 oz cranberry juice
1/2 oz lime juice

And, in honor of Carrie and Big
First Love
2/3 oz Champagne
1/3 oz gin
1 tsp sugar
2 dashes Heering cherry liqueur
