Paddleboat Cafe

Teen reporter Tiana Johnson stopped by Paddleboat Cafe on Goose Lake in Anchorage last month to find out what's on the horizon for the place. The cafe has quickly become a popular all-ages hangout for music and food.

On May 13, Rodney Clark who was interviewed for this story passed away.

"There will be a celebration of Rodney Clark's life on May 29," his daughter Kylie posted on the Paddleboat MySpace page. "...For those of you who wish to contribute in some way you are welcome to make a donation to the Goose Lake Recreational Foundation in Rodney's name."

The day of the celebration is also the start of Paddleboat's Summer Food Program, which was a true passion of Rodney's.

Anyone 18 years or younger may get a free lunch at the cafe from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., May 23 to Aug. 19. Adults pay only $5.

Kylie who is now manager and new owner says, "Thank you for your business and as Rodney always says, 'the show must go on!'"
