A Tale Of Two Goalies Alaskans Know

Two goaltenders Alaskans are familiar with squared off in the International Hockey League semifinals Saturday night, which was a short one for former Alaska Aces backstop Isaac Reichmuth and an easy one for former UAA Seawolves backstop Kevin Reiter.

Reiter's Fort Wayne Komets beat Reichmuth's Muskegon Fury, 5-1, to eliminate the visitors in Game 6 and move on to the league finals against the Port Huron IceHawks.

Reichmuth lasted just 5 minutes, 33 seconds. He faced three shots, and didn't stop any of them, which got him the hook.

Reiter, meanwhile, faced just one shot in the first period, just two shots in the first 26 minutes and a mere 15 in all.
