Beagle Helps Hershey Stay Alive After Minard Almost Makes The Kill

Hershey, with an assist by former UAA Seawolves center Jay Beagle, staved off elimination in the American Hockey League playoffs Wednesday night with a 3-2 overtime win against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. But Penguins forward Chris Minard, the former Alaska Aces sniper, made it interesting.

Minard scored two goals, including an extra-attacker strike with just 19 seconds left in regulation to force overtime. He has four goals and an assist, and a +4 rating in four games -- the Pengiuns lead the best-of-7 series 3-1.

Hershey made Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's one-night death sudden -- Alexandre Giroux scored just 20 seconds into the extra session.

Beagle's assist was his first point of the series, in which he is -4. Also, Penguins forward Tim Wallace of Anchorage owns 1-1--2 totals and a +3 rating in the series.
