Las Vegas Wranglers' Alaska Connections Abound

The ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers, who next meet the Alaska Aces, gained the second round of the Kelly Cup playoff Tuesday night with a 4-1 win over Stockton in Game 6 of an opening-round series, and the clinching win featured several Alaska connections.

Former UAF forward Curtis Fraser, down from the American Hockey League for the Wranglers, made his Las Vegas playoff debut with two goals, including the empty netter to seal things, and fired seven shots on goal. He also went +1.

Former UAF forward Kelly Czuy contributed an assist, two shots and a +1 rating.

And defenseman Jason Krischuk of Anchorage was even with one shot on goal.

Las Vegas, which owns home ice against the Aces, hosts Game 1 on Friday night and Game 2 on Saturday night. The series returns to Anchorage for Game 3 on Tuesday, April 29.
