Wahl, it weren't no high-falutin' artsy pe-formince this afternoon at the Performing Arts Center. But them Riders In The Sky sure do know how to put on a show that got cowboy boots a-tappin' and funny bones all tickled-up. The four ol' boys moseyed down memory lane with ol-time "cowboy music" and "cowboy laughs." They drifted back to the days when "real cowboys" roped steer, shot varmints, sang songs, and yodelled up a storm...at least in the movies.
The audience took to tunes like "Tumblin' Tumbleweeds" and "Ghost Riders In The Sky" like they was "Cool Water." Heck, some of us mighta' recognized "Back In The Saddle Again" and "South Of The Border" from when we was lil' squirts playing records on the Victrola and singing off-key with grandpa.
