Movie lovers can get a heavy dose of short films with their Belgian beer at the Tap Root Café Wednesday night. That’s right, the 10th Annual Manhattan Short Film Festival kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, at one of Anchorage’s best new watering holes.
Food and beer aside, the festival lets viewers see and judge 12 short films and even communicate with filmmakers online. Almost a hundred venues in North America, Europe, Central America and South America will judge the finalists between September 23 and 30.
Tap Root is in the mix with tickets just $6 at the door (1330 E Huffman, 345-0282).
If you miss it, don't worry. The film festival shows at Out North (3800 DeBarr Road) Thursday through Sunday, September 27 to 30. Go to the Web site for times. Tickets cost $8 online and $11 at the door.
Wherever you see it, let us know what you think of the festival's array of films right here on the Arts Nob/Art Snob blog.
