No. 1 versus No. 2 in small schools started out a classic.

It ended like every other Soldotna game this season.

The top-ranked stars broke open a 7-7 game after one quarter with a 35-point explosion in the second to bury Kodiak and send the loudest message yet that there is no one in the small-school division who can keep up with SoHi.

Anthony Griglione had four rushing touchdowns and three passing scores to lead Soldotna.

Jimmy Eggemeyer gave Kodiak a 7-0 lead on a 4-yard touchdown pass.
