The great shake of the weekend happens at Alaska Dance Theatre this Friday night when bare-footed masked marauders boogie and shimmy to Cajun music while slopping down Cajun-style food with a drink or two. If you like dressing up, getting down, or just hanging out with freaks, then show up, take a dance lesson and get the party started.
The joint fundraiser for ADT, the International Gallery of Contemporary Art and Out North promises to send you off with a few more dance moves, a full belly and maybe even a prize for most festive or artistic costume. It only cost $20 ahead of time (www.outnorth.org) or $25 at the door.
With a party time of 7 to 11 p.m., the shindig gives you plenty of time to hit the clubs late and not miss a beat. Check it out at ADT on 550 East 33rd Avenue, just a few blocks behind the Moose’s Tooth.
