Don't you hate art snobs? Well, so do we, but oddly enough, what one person calls snobbish, another thinks of as accurate, fair, wise, or just plain hilarious. Go figure.
With that in mind, read on for reviews and commentary from Daily News critics and staff writers, and everyone else who has an opinion. Have you seen a concert, exhibit, play, graffiti mural, book of poetry, parka, street performance, mask, public sculpture, graphic novel, woven blanket or other artwork that made you think, throw up, yawn or smile in sublime reverence? Well chime in with your own comments, observations and rants.
In the meantime, here's my arts pick for the weekend, January 12 and 13: The World Indigenous Film Festival at the Alaska Native Heritage Center. It's free and chock full of cool films. (Don't miss "Expiration Date" on Saturday night at 9:45 p.m.). Check out the full schedule at www.alaskanative.net.
