Obama: Nobel Prize For Intolerance
I remember hanging out in The Dartmouth Review office in college and taking bets on what angle The New York Times education page was going to come at us from next. On one occasion it was attacking a column by John Sutter comparing the Dartmouth administration to Nazi Germany. No matter that Jake Tapper, now with ABC news, had used a cartoon to compare The Review to Nazism less then a year before in the main college paper.
Dan Rather used a forged document to try and damage George W. Bush and influence a presidential election. 60 Minutes has been an institution of left wing hatchet jobs for years. Who knows how many frauds were hoisted on the American public by that program before an alternative media was available.
The "mainstream" media reads like a who's who of left wingers. Katie Couric, George Stephanopoulos, Bill Moyers, and the list goes on forever. Who could forget Katie storming off in 2000 crying, "We lost," in an angry tirade? For years the alphabet networks and major newspapers in this country have had a left wing slant.
The left also has its fair share of pundits. It ranges from the assorted columnists at The New York Times to Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow over at MSNBC. All of them have been in the tank for Barak Obama from day one. They have falsely cried racism at every turn when anybody dares question the president.
The Obama administration is not happy, however, unless everybody is in the tank for them. Fox News has broken the Obama creed and dared to criticize the Messiah. Obama wants a country without dissent.
Obama officials are accusing Fox of covering them unfairly. News flash for Obama and Co., most of what is on Fox is opinion shows. The nice thing is at least it is identified as opinion unlike the supposed hard news being spun in Obama's favor elsewhere.
Fox has its share of left wingers on board as well. Mort Kondracke, Juan Williams, Alan Colmes, and Alaska's own Kirsten Powers. They also have covered plenty of scandals involving right wing politicians. Chris Wallace made a fool of Terry McCauliffe pulling Fox clips last week showing coverage of things the Obama administration claimed had never been on Fox.
What has Fox really done?
They have exposed ACORN, an organization once represented by Obama. The organization was given over $800K by the Obama presidential campaign to get out the vote. It is an organization being investigated for promoting voter fraud. They have also been caught red handed in many different offices offering assistance for people wanting to be involved in underage prostitution with illegal immigrants.
The ACORN scandal is huge. If this had been a generally right wing organization connected to even a minor Republican politician we would see it on the front page of every paper in the US. Anybody remember the media trying to saddle Sarah Palin with the Alaska Independence Party?
Fox has exposed the history of Obama administration appointees such as Van Jones. This is a man who made openly racist comments about the Columbine shooting and had signed on to a petition questioning whether the US government was behind the 9/11 attacks. The media however is more interested in manufacturing racism when people have legitimate policy differences with the president.
The list of questionable Obama appointees is a long one. If Bush had nominated people with ties to fringe groups the outrage from the media would have been deafening.
Fox has challenged the health care plan and put people on the air offering other solutions.
Fox has done something the rest of the media has not. They are actually performing investigative journalism. The rest of the media looks silly when they have to drop their political bias and actually report on the stories Fox has unearthed.
Obama has now decided to withdraw his people from talking on Fox News. He is planning to ignore a news channel that has more viewers than the other cable news networks combined. Americans should not accept this.
Imagine if the Bush administration had refused to talk to CBS after the Dan Rather fraud? There certainly would not have been silence everywhere.
If Obama does not want people talking to Glenn Beck or Sean Hannity that seems entirely reasonable. It might even be okay to throw Bill O'Reilly on the list. It is a completely different matter when it comes to Chris Wallace or Shepard Smith.
He certainly is not keeping his people away from the liberal stroke sessions over on the other networks. He has even gone on the air with David Letterman recently.
Really? Obama thinks Letterman is credible and is upset with Fox? Harvard should take their degree back.
Obama and the rest of liberal America have lost their stranglehold over the media over the past decade. They can no longer rely on the propoganda machine of the major networks and papers to go unchallenged.
Chris Wallace recently referred to the Obama officials as "crybabies." Based on the nonsense and whining coming out of the White House it appears Mr. Wallace is the master of understatement.
Obama has at times said he is open to debate. It is is time for him to show he is a man of his word. It would be nice because it would actually be the first time. Then again, maybe the crybaby in Obama is scared what will happen if he actually has to face a real debate.
