DISCUSS: Empty parking lot
If you've been downtown looking for parking on a Friday night, you've surely noticed the empty spaces on the corner of Fourth Avenue and H Street. But down flip on your blinkers too fast - those spots are reserved for legislators and staff, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Do you think there is a way to keep these spots open for government workers when they need them, but make them available at times when the legislators are not likely to be using them, for example when the legislature is in session, or nights and weekends? Do the spots need to be reserved full-time or is there a way to compromise in order to relieve downtown parking congestion?
