Juneau, Alaska - Governor Sean Parnell today named Stefanie Moreland to the position of senior advisor for fisheries, oceans and Arctic policy. Moreland currently serves as a legislative assistant for Senator Lisa Murkowski in the areas of fisheries, oceans and the Arctic. She has also held several positions in the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, including federal fisheries coordinator and manager of the Extended Jurisdiction Program.

The board advises the Department of Natural Resources regarding the approval or disapproval of new royalty agreements with the state. The board’s work to develop Alaska's oil and gas royalty interests is intended to promote private sector growth, satisfy environmental standards and maintain public fiscal stability.
