Our neighbors in Canada are pretty worked up over an escape of as many as 30,000 Atlantic salmon from a farm site in southern British Columbia.
Here’s a news release from Marine Harvest, the aquaculture giant that runs the farm.
Canadian media reports say efforts are under way to recapture the escaped fish.
A company spokesman was quoted as saying the Atlantics were nearly ready for market and the escape could cost the firm $500,000.
