AYEA Summer Fund Raiser

Teens in Alaska Youth for Environmental Action (AYEA) are hosting their tenth anniversary Summer Fund Raiser on Thursday, June 5th. For ten years, youth in AYEA have tackled recycling and waste issues, and this event continues to promote sustainability: they will host a Sustainable Silent Auction that includes things like "Office Hero Recycling Package," "Green Your Coffee Routine," "Rethink Plastics Shopping Package," "Healthy/Organic Spa Package" and much more! Even hip eco-company TerraCycle is donating items for the event!
The Summer Fund Raiser will be zero/minimum waste event, with all food/drink being served on/in Rare Earth, LLC compostable plates and cups and waste going into compostable bags, and no plastic bottles!
This event also includes home-made and delicious donated platters by Moose’s Tooth, Modern Dwellers Chocolate Lounge, Taproot Cafe, Snow City Cafe, Sacks Cafe, New Sagaya, Thai Kitchen and more... and auction items donated by Circular, Green Star, TerraCycle, TerraBella, Organic Hair Design, and other eco-businesses.
Youth Keynotes at event: Katie McKay-Bryson, Founder; Verner Wilson, global warming leader; Bryce Timm, Political Activist; and Aviva Hirsch, Brittany Walker, and Zoe Fuller-plastics crusaders.
