It's been a week since I've blogged, mostly because Gina and I have been on an adventure to visit family and friends in the Midwest and South.
Since last Thursday, we've been in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky and Tennessee. I'm looking forward to returning home in a few days, but right now it's sunny and about 60 degrees in Benton, Tenn., so I'm doing fine.
While visiting my grandmother in southern Indiana, we walked past some peony plants that were 2 feet tall. That's interesting because my peony plants are still covered by more than 2 feet of snow. A trip to a warmer climate gives a little perspective -- it makes me anxious for spring to arrive for real in Anchorage. Hopefully it'll be a lot closer when we return.
