Dog Blog

The Dog Blog is a community of ordinary dog lovers who have come together to discuss our extraordinary dogs. Each Monday, a new topic is introduced. If you've got an opinion, share it. If not, look for the current "anything goes" topic and introduce a discussion of your own. On Fridays, weigh in about your training questions and successes.

AACCC Adoption of the Week: Meet Cooper

CooperCooper

Here's Anchorage Animal Care and Control's Adoption of the Week, courtesy of Brooke Taylor, AACCC public relations coordinator.

Please meet Cooper, a 3 year old, neutered male, lab/husky mix. Alert, intelligent, attentive and responsive, this handsome fellow is a little shy at first meeting (and for that reason is not a good mix for small kids), and likes calm, gentle handling and petting. He knows commands (including "shake" and "roll over"), enjoys rope and squeaky toys, and is used to short car rides (but does not care for the car). He's playful and quite friendly, handles easy on his leash, and has been to the dog park. Intense blue eyes! Makes a great all-around companion. Cooper can be adopted for $72, as he is already neutered, which includes his MOA dog license, vaccinations, and microchip. Call 343-8122 for more information.

Adoption update: Rocky is still available.
