The Alaska Aces today released winger Matt Ambroz to clear some roster space for the additions of center Alexandre Imbeault and defenseman Alain Goulet.
Ambroz played in one game for the Aces this season after appearing in 48 games for them last season, with 3-7--10 and +4 totals, and 88 penalty minutes.
Ambroz initially joined the Aces late in the 2010-11 season after finishing his college career at Nebraska-Omaha.
The Aces also placed injured defensemen Kane Lafranchise and Corey Syvret on reserve and activated veteran winger Matt Robinson.
Also in the ECHL, Greenville today released former Aces goaltender Adam Courchaine. That came after the New York Rangers sent goalie Scott Stajcer, a fifth-round pick, from AHL Connecticut to Greenville.
