Haven't gone through all of the training-camp lists in the ECHL, but here are some dudes with Alaska connections who showed up on the transactions wire today.
In South Carolina, the Stingrays have forward Hunter Bishop of Fairbanks, who two seasons ago played mostly in the AHL and some in the ECHL as a rookie. Bishop, who played collegiately at North Dakota and Ohio State, didn't play last season because of injury, but did a ton of community appearances for AHL Hamilton. South Carolina also has former UAF captain Kevin Petovello, who was in camp with the Aces last season and went on to put up 13-15--28 totals in 44 games with CHL Arizona. Also in South Carolina, former Aces blueliner Ryan Turek.
In Utah, where Turek was last season, former Aces winger Kory Falite is on the scene -- he split ECHL time in Florida and Utah last season. The Grizzlies also have former UAA defenseman/forward Curtis Leinweber, who is a rookie, and T.J. Battani, who was briefly with the Aces two seasons ago before a season-ending injury (shoulder, if memory serves). Also with Utah is former UAA (briefly) forward August Aiken, who last season for SPHL Louisiana earned 17-18--35 totals in 52 matches.
