From The Where-Are-They-Now File: Former Aces Galbraith, Beckford-Tseu

Thanks to a heads-up from Alaska Aces assistant coach Scott Burt, The Blog now knows what Burt's buddy and former Aces (and Idaho) teammate, Lance Galbraith, is doing these days.

Hold onto your hat: He's a head coach in Canadian junior hockey.

Dialed up the Google machine and, indeed, Galbraith is head coach of the Toronto Canada Moose in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League -- that's a circuit that debuted in 2006.

Alas, the Moose have started 0-2-0.

Galbraith played parts of two seasons 2008-09 and 2009-10 -- for the Aces, and he was an old-school pro. Slight of build, Galbraith was one of those cats who would take on any opponent to fire up his team -- he had plenty of rat in him. He was the guy Aces fans detested when he played for Idaho, then adored when he played for the Aces.

Anyhow, the Google machine turned up another Aces connection on Galbraith's club. The goaltending coach, according to the team website, is none other than former Aces great Chris Beckford-Tseu, who played parts of three seasons for the Aces, helped them to the 2006 Kelly Cup and also got up to the NHL for part of one game with the St. Louis Blues.

Consider yourself mildly updated.
