Ogawa earns Chartered Life Underwriter designation

Yoshi OgawaYoshi OgawaANCHORAGE – Yoshi Ogawa, LUTCF, CLTC, an agent for the New York Life Insurance Co., has been designated a Chartered Life Underwriter® by The American College of Bryn Mawr, Pa., Michael Bookout, LUTCF of the Alaska General Office announced today.

Ogawa was awarded the designation after completing the college’s eight course professional curriculum and a series of examinations. The American College holds the highest level of academic accreditation and specializes in financial services education. More than 97,000 individuals have been awarded the CLU® designation since the college was founded in 1927.

Ogawa has been a New York Life agent since 2007, and is associated with New York Life’s Alaska General Office in Anchorage.

Ogawa is a member of Anchorage Estate Planning Council, Anchorage Downtown Rotary Club and Alaska District Export Council. He also serves as president of the Japanese Society of Alaska. He received a B.S. degree in business from Arizona State University and a post graduate certificate from American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Ariz.
