Delta Junction, AK – The Division of Parks & Outdoor Recreation is soliciting proposals from qualified bidders to operate the Big Delta State Historical Park under a concession contract. The contract involves operation of Rika’s Roadhouse, other historical buildings, a campground, RV dump station and other commercial activities.
Proposals must be received no later than 4 p.m., Alaska Standard Time, on Aug. 23.
Interested parties can download the Request for Proposal by going to alaskastateparks.org and clicking on the link under current events. The RFP has also been posted on the State of Alaska’s Online Public Notice System at http://dnr.alaska.gov/commis/pic/pubnotfrm.htm.
Prospective bidders must register with Alaska Department of Natural Resources procurement officer Marlys Hagen to receive subsequent amendments to the RFP. Her contact information is included in the RFP. Failure to contact the procurement officer may result in the rejection of your bid.
State Parks will host a pre-proposal conference on July 31 at Big Delta State Historical Park to give potential bidders a chance to tour the facilities and ask questions. The park is located eight miles north of Delta Junction at Milepost 274.5 of the Richardson Highway.
