Fundraiser extended and sweetened

Hutton in "20th Century Man"Hutton in "20th Century Man"An email from local playwright/poet Brian Hutton reports the latest in his quest to raise funds via US Artists to bring productions of two pieces to Seattle. The original deadline to raise the funds was Sunday, but that has been moved to Friday, he says:

"Already, because of this fundraising effort, I have landed two shows in Washington State above and beyond the dual production of '20th Century Man' and 'Emma and Adolph' that this fundraiser was originally put together to support. Already, the 20-some year dream of getting my work out there, to the Outside is moving forward. ...

"We reached 40% of our original goal and USA Projects has decided to give us a deadline extension till this Friday, July 20 at 11:59 p.m., and allow us to modify our goal, as long as we didn't fudge on the quality of the production. ...

"(For) every dollar you contribute, the Rasmuson Foundation will match it. $10 becomes $20. $20 becomes $40. $100 becomes $200. And on... Like fundraising magic. And it's all tax deductible."

"And if anyone has any trouble navigating the donations page, please contact me, and I will see to it that your good intentions are fulfilled," Hutton adds.

His phone number is 350-4580
