Eklutna Inc. honored by legislators on 40th anniversary

Eklutna Inc., the Alaska Native Village Corporation for the Anchorage and Chugiak-Eagle River area, was honored recently by the Alaska State Legislature for its 40-year history of service to its shareholders, to the community and the state. Reps. Bill Stoltze and Dan Saddler introduced the citation, which read in part, “The Twenty-Seventh Alaska State Legislature congratulates Eklutna Native Corp. for its first 40 years of growth and accomplishment, and commends its commitment to improving the lives of shareholders by working to preserve their culture and history, while providing economic opportunity and security for the future."

This citation was presented to the Eklutna, Inc. board of directors at their regular board meeting on June 19, 2012. Eklutna Inc. is honored to receive this recognition, and looks forward to continuing its commitment to growth and providing opportunity and security for future Shareholders.

Eklutna Inc. is the largest private landowner in the Municipality of Anchorage, owning over 90,000 acres. They are also soon to be the largest private landowner within the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. Eklutna Inc. is known for their commercial, industrial and residential lands and plays a major role in the development of the Anchorage and Chugiak-Eagle River areas.
