The Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI) announced Michael Carlson, AIA, CSS, REFP, a principal architect at McCool Carlson Green, as the 2012 CEFPI Pacific Northwest Planner of the Year for his excellence in designing student learning environments. Michael Carlson’s award winning designs can be seen in the recent Su-Valley School, Fred and Sara Machetanz Elementary School, and the Chester Valley Elementary School, all of which achieved a LEED Silver rating.
Camille Friend, LEED AP®, NCIDQ-Certified, comes to McCool Carlson Green as the firm’s Graphic Arts Director. She has 12 years of experience working with AIA and ASID award-winning architectural and interior design firms in Washington, DC and Denver, Colorado. For the past three years, Ms. Friend has worked as an independent design and branding consultant for a diverse clientele of entrepreneurs and organizations. In 2011, her brand development work was honored by the Colorado chapter of the American Marketing Association. Ms. Friend received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University’s Design and Environmental Analysis program and holds a Master’s Degree in Marketing and Public Relations from the University of Denver.
Robin Fortner has joined the McCool Carlson Green Architects team as Marketing Director. She has been in the Architecture/Engineering marketing field since she graduated in 2010 from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management. She is responsible for marketing, public relations, client relationship management, database management, and proposal preparation efforts. She is an active member in the local Society for Marketing Professional Services, Alaska Chapter.
