(Juneau, AK) – Kathleen Dunn will join the Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development as the new tourism marketing manager, effective July 9. Dunn will be responsible for implementing the state’s tourism marketing program, managing program contractors and ensuring continued input from the private sector.
“Kathy’s 30 years of professional marketing experience, coupled with leadership positions in Alaska tourism marketing organizations, make her a valuable addition to our team,” said Commissioner Susan Bell. “I am confident she will capably manage our programs and ensure continued collaboration with key marketing partners.”
Prior to joining DCCED, Dunn was the vice president of marketing and sales for the Alaska Travel Industry Association. Dunn also served as the executive director of the Alaska Tourism Marketing Council, as an executive producer for a local film/radio production studio and as an account supervisor with an Alaska advertising agency.
